This was our 6th time staying at the El Cabarete, it has become our home away from home! The resort was quiet, clean & restful. The staff is like a family, hosting their guests warmly, ready to do what it took to make us comfortable. We always book the shuttle to go in to Cabarete for lunch, beach or groceries. Chef Chiki created a delicious, super fancy Valentine Dinner, Luke managed the desk with a smile, Ramona & her team rocked the daily cleaning routine, Nino & Keto drove us to/from Cabarete frequently & safely! Thanks to the others who I've not named here...you're all part of a hard-working team. Lunch at Wilson's Bar & Grill at La Boca is always a highlight of our time in Cabarete. We enjoy walking to the deserted beach (shuttle is also available) turning right then walking ~ 30 minutes to Wilson's. Miguel provides the river taxi to a delicious feast of fish & seafood along with Cervesa or Piña Coladas etc. Wilson is our favourite tour guide too...see his poster in the lobby. Other attractions we enjoyed this time: - Pottery shed - walking distance, awesome finds & La Cafeteria Maria! -La Aurora Cigar Factory in Santiago (2 hour drive, scenic views!) -Taino Valley Tropical Park (WOW) -Las Cuevas de Cabarete (Thx Lawren!) …
The workers and staff at this resort are very nice and professional. Especially Nino, Luke, Tiko, the Chef and his assistant, and the other workers. They were all accomodating and helpful. My issue with the resort is that I feel the owner needs to give it more attention. It needs upgrades and maintenance that he needs to follow through on. He needs to assure himself that his guests are satisfied. I feel the workers work very hard to run the resort but are limited because the owner has the final say. I probably will not return here simply because the owner promises amenities that he doesn't deliver on. The resort is mainly for lodging. There are no real activities to participate in within the resort.
We arrived in Cabarete on a Thursday night with no hotel reservations. Nothing we were finding on the apps looked like a good value. The places we stopped into didn't seem right either. As we left town to the East my son spotted this place on the GPS and we went to check it out. Once we looked around and met the staff we knew this place was for us. The rooms are clean, spacious and secure. The air conditioning was perfect and adjustable by remote, the hot water was hot and there was a full kitchen. The bed was remarkably comfortable as were the pillows. The rooms were above what I expected for the price in Cabarete. The pool area is a very unique rectangular design with an island in the middle and four individual jacuzzies on the side, however the water isn't heated and in December it was a little too chilly for me- but I'm from Florida. The dining area includes a bar and seats located on the island inside the surrounding pool. There is also a pool table with seating next to the dining area. There is a beach you can walk to from the hotel but it takes around 10 minutes, better to drive if you have a car. The hotel is in an area around 1 mile East of the center of town where you'll find the party scene and the beach filled with people. The beach near the hotel was empty, but there weren't any chairs or services and the water was very rough with lots of driftwood- we didn't stay long. We decided to purchase an all-inclusive meal package at the hotel and were very satisfied with the food. Everything was made to order from a very extensive menu. I had a French Onion soup that was delicious, several salads and lots of shrimp cocktails. Main courses included beef, chicken, seafood and vegetarian options. The staff at the hotel were unbelievably professional and helpful. Luke, the Manager deserves a special mention for going out of his way to make sure my family had a great stay. At one point during our stay we had the pleasure of speaking with the owner of the hotel by phone (he was traveling off the island); he also went out of his way to make sure our needs were addressed. All of the other employees were kind and attentive. The power did go out momentarily, but the hotel's generator quickly turned on and powered everything including the air conditioning. No question that next time we're in Cabarete we will be back to stay here.…
The resort staff are very friendly and they do the max to make you feel welcome. The hotel is not luxurious, but it is very pleasant. It is a small place and the atmosphere is very quiet, you sleep well, and the food in the restaurant is very tasty and the price of food and drinks is good. The workers are very friendly.
I had a paid certificate and when I arrived at the hotel and they told me that I could stay that night the next day at the reception they told me that I have to pay 160 dollars and I refused because I already had a paid certificate they told me that I had to pay 55 dollars from the night that I had stayed and I had to stay and go to another place. Without a doubt, it is the worst experience I have ever had traveling.
It was a nightmare truly horrible they hotel manager is shady. I paid my monster reservation fee and I requested for monster reservation to call the hotel to advise the fees I will pay upon arrival Upon arrival I was supposed to pay $125 total. The man wanted to charge me $160 and told me I had to pay in pesos. The next day when I came to pay (because I arrive very late at night) the fee went to the normal $125 as was quoted with monster reservation The next day he said he made a mistake bang on my car door demanding more money I called monster reservation and they advised $125 was all I had to pay no more The hotel called spoken to the manager he was charging us for additional COVID feed and twice for cleaning fees. Monster reservation said I don't pay for cleaning nor the additional fees and not to pay no more then agreed with monster reservation agreement with the private hotel The next day after that he knock on our hotel door demanding more money threaten to call the police if I didn't give him more we felt unsafe and decided to leave immediately 😢 He turned off the power and the water our food spoiled we had no water to cook or bathe and on top of that no TV was water he promise to replace it the next day I had a 8 day/7 night stay. I arrived a day late due to flight and a 5 hour drive to the hotel. We check in/out on 11/13-11/17 we only stay 4 days we check out and stayed somewhere else that was safer and not shady Also we were the only people there it's a nice and clean hotel just like the picture but completely not receiving guest and the way we was treated like criminals for having celebration to my husband birthday was horrible and they didn't decorate the room like we requested I would never recommend anyone to stay in such a unpleasant and possibly unsafe environment we felt like we treated as if we broke into the place instead of being treated like guest from another country Please don't go Ms. Abraham…
Beginning with Luca, at the reception desk, and continuing with Christopher, who is part of the staff, we were greeted in a very positive and helpful way. Other members of the staff, such as Kewil and Feliz, also were very helpful.
This is place absolutely a junk hole. I booked this place for a full week and ended up staying one night only. The rooms are disgusting: stain in couch, towels stained, cabinets not secured on the walls, sheets had holes, there was sand all over the kitchen as it was not cleaned before we got there. They advertise free internet but they try charging you when you get there. The towels were ripped, and i could go on and on. The worst part is that one of their employees broke my car and no one took responsibility for it. This place is in the middle on nowhere!!! Its scary just getting there, and don't let them fool you with the "private beach" is a junk!!! Worst experience ever. Management I dealt with was Ben and Luc.
we ended up leaving a day and night earlier the place was not what we expected very dark and scluded no intertainment little or no security at all..felt very unsafe and the food they offered very expensive and limeted to hardly none it looks deserted and scary the beach area is far and unsafe to walk there no handicap services at all and no explanations to guest we had a not so lets talk about it vacation but at least we stock together and learn how to make better lemonade.
We arrived at Le Blanc/Phoenix Resort after staying a week at a very fancy all inclusive resort in Punta Cana. The food, customer service and beach at Le Blanc was far superior to the fancy resort! The owner and staff were extremely accommodating, they even fixed our rental car for us that had a mechanical issue. We tried the all-inclusive option for the first 3 days, and then extended it for the entire week. The chef was excellent and they had a special raclette grill night for us, which was delicious and fun! The private beach, just a short walk away from the resort, was our favorite amenity, the water was warm enough to swim in and you could walk along the beach for miles. The staff made sure we always had everything we needed at all times. They packed a cooler for us to take their private beach. The resort was very clean and well maintained. We want to come back someday! Just be warned that driving your own vehicle in the Dominican Republic can be very scary as the locals don't follow any traffic rules. We stayed in mid-January while the Dominican Republic had very strict Covid curfew laws. We were thankful that we had such a beautiful, clean and safe place to stay with excellent food and drinks and friendly helpful staff during these Covid curfew times. …
