The Tubkaak Krabi Boutique Resort is renowned for its exceptional service, with staff frequently commended for being friendly and attentive, despite occasional lapses in consistency. Guests appreciate the resort's serene yet vibrant atmosphere, complete with live music and opulent rooms that offer a sense of luxury. While most find the rooms comfortable and impeccably clean, some have mentioned noise disturbances and confusion regarding room service. The secluded location is a hit among travelers, offering access to tranquil beaches and stunning natural scenery. The hotel's cleanliness is consistently praised, as are its amenities, which include a pristine beach and varied activities like yoga. Although on-site dining may be costly, the overall value is recognized, with the spa and shuttle service being particularly appreciated.

What a lovely lovely hotel. Set in beautiful gardens alongside the beach. It feels really secluded and tranquil, so a good place to unwind and relax. Staff are all lovely but special mention goes to Hana. Be sure to talk to her. She is really good at her job, she's friendly, funny and informative. We could have talked to her all evening if she wasn't so busy. Just got here today but highly delighted with everything Highly recommended.

Hotel's Favourite
Amazing boutique hotel with lovely welcoming people looking to make your stay special. Brilliant buffet breakfast with freshly made egg station, avocado on toast or Thai food or hot English breakfast plus usual cakes, bread selection [coconut jam is yummy] all covered carefully and fresh portions brought out regularly. The fruit was so tasty and each morning the bar had a different super juice freshly squeezed to try. All rooms including ours are close to the beautiful beach and pool. Both restaurants are extremely good with local Thai food for the adventurous plus check the back page for more familiar Thai dishes. Italian was surprisingly delicious with soft crispy edged bruschetta and delicious fresh toppings for pizza. We had great fun with the onsite Thai kickboxing classes which we had never tried before and picked up so much in just two classes. The teacher was great at taking us step by step to learn key moves at a pace we could follow. The free shuttle pass we used to go to Krabi Town and the night market. A fun experience where you could eat and shop and be entertained as there's a stage with local acts on. For the night we visited it was a children's talent show with varying talents which was great to watch while sipping our cocktails. Even at the market safety and hygiene were taken seriously with gloves in use and stall holders wearing masks. I have an egg and dairy intolerance but found it easy to eat by using a photo of the condition written by a local to show to the stall holders. The hotel's other trips are also worth a mention with the walk up to naga mountain worth the hard work since it's fairly steep and a bit of a scramble at times but great views. We had a personal guide to take us there. Plus the boat picnic trip was so romantic and the food so special with a three-course Thai picnic with fresh fruit as snacks seeing tiny little islands, snorkelling or just admiring the unusual landscape. Such a special experience. Evening entertainment was varied with the saxophone very talented and some singers soulful but one couple a little warbly for my liking but very familiar tunes so still a good listen and not too late. Hotel also helped us book a trip to Tiger Temple with pick up at the hotel which included swimming in hot spring water. If we had stayed a little longer we would have spared time for yoga mornings, definitely more Thai boxing and the cooking class but we just couldn't squeeze more into the week we had. Top tip...make sure you have cash for National site access fees and the Tiger temple tour is paid in cash directly too. Also hotel boat trips are direct from beach in front of hotel....so easy to get to. Other tours can be arranged by yourself like the James Bond Island tour we asked for which picks up from hotel but this does take an hour to get to the pier. We'll worth it though but hotels own tour was better.

We stayed here for six nights in March, which covered my birthday and our wedding anniversary. We were lucky enough to book a table on the beach decorated with lanterns & candles and we were looked after by our waitress Hanna who was simply wonderful. A truly lovely experience not as expensive as you would imagine .. food here was the best, the Italian restaurant served wonderful pizzas, lamb chops, , steaks, and wonderful service in a really pretty setting overlooking the beach with the traditional Thai food served in their main restaurant. Also a very lovely setting where sometimes gentle music played and once a week they had a beach disco. The beach is a lovely white sandy beach and a fabulous view of the islands. There are five or six hotels along this beach and You can use any of them to go for a meal. The gardens as well as the beach areas were immaculate and very tropical. Also, the pool area was a delight and served drinks and lunch any time after 10 am. Right up until sunset. Our room was a Seaview room and right on the front overlooking the beach and gardens. It was absolutely beautiful with a an outside bath, huge bathroom and high ceilings in the bedroom with a view of the ocean. All the staff here were very polite, very happy and always rememberd our names which straightaway makes you feel special We would most certainly come back if in the area. Lovely lovely hotel

What a great resort, truly amazing and beautiful, we stayed in a premiere pool villa room 159; all staff very friendly and extremely helpful, always willing to help to make our stay unforgettable. Nothing was too much trouble. The Tubkaak is a very quiet and peaceful resort where you can unwind and relax, bring plenty of sun tan lotion as you are going to need it. The Pool is a sun trap and gets the sun all day it’s like taking a warm bath. The private sandy beach is cleaned by the hotel staff every morning to clear away any debris deposited during the night. Great to lay back and watch the world go by. Great international breakfast has everything you would need and more, it can get busy after 9.00am but staff still very diligent, friendly and eager to please. The lunch menu offers a variety of the usual choices served on the beach by the pool or in the restaurant. The evening menu offers an a-la-carte menu with plenty of choice, all fresh and cooked to order. Special thanks to Khun Benz the assistant manager who worked extremely hard to resolve the only issue we had which was with a wasp’s nest, to the extent that he relocated us to a different room this was exceptionally good service which we have rarely encountered at many 5-star hotels. It was a pleasure to meet him. It was fantastic to see Khun Supa again after so many years, she recognised us from our previous stay in 2016 (how has time gone so quickly) she works very hard and endeavours to make everyone’s stay special. we hope it won’t be so long until our next stay. Au Nang is a short taxi journey of 20 minutes at a cost of TBH 600 each way. We visited once but it was very crowded with many shops all offering the same items it became hard to distinguish one from another. Better to chill out on Tubkaak beach like so many others, with a cocktail and watch the sun go down. Thank you to Khun B-Lyn for providing us with vary good service by the pool, Khun Guide in the restaurant who attended us very kindly every day and was always attentive to our tastes and needs. The maids, always impeccable, left the room perfect, and all of the unseen staff who work tirelessly in the background to make the resort what it is. Again, like our previous stay unforgettable, hope to see you all again soon Khob Khun Krub.

It was a wonderful hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly, especially Pitchy who welcomed us to the hotel and assisted in booking travel to the next hotel. Also Benz, the events manager, was particularly friendly and kindly arranged decoration and cake for husband’s birthday. We stayed in the sea view apartment which was large and luxurious, with a large outside bath filled with petals on our arrival. The food in the restaurant was very extensive and of high quality. We had a beautiful massage in the spa and the gym facilities were very good.

We had a standard room overlooking the pool. When I say standard, the room was huge with good aircon, high ceiling and a ceiling fan to stir the aircon around. This meant you didn’t have to have the aircon set at freezer level! We had no problem with the outside shower and even had an outside bath one evening. All totally secluded and shaded. We also didn’t mind the padlock and key on the main door and found it all quite quirky. We were celebrating big birthdays and we had flowers and happy birthday written in cut-up banana leaves on our bed. All little touches that add up to 5* service. Fantastic breakfasts with an enormous choice and array of different dishes to suit all tastes. Special mentions to Supa and Pa in the main restaurant who absolutely went above and beyond. You can ask for the Italian menu (and a western menu) in the main restaurant if you don’t want to go to the actual Italian restaurant. The massages aren’t cheap but you get what you pay for and the 90 min Thai massage certainly found some knots that needed releasing so we would thoroughly recommend the spa. There isn’t a huge amount of seating around the pool but there’s plenty on the beach and some on the grass area too. There’s quiet entertainment most evenings with occasional understated beach parties but nothing too mad! Grab a taxi from the rank on the road opposite the hotel entrance to save a bit of money if you’re going to Ao Nang to shop or eat out. It’s about a 20 min trip each way.

This is a charming and well tended, comfortable hotel resort near Krabi. Hotel grounds are an oasis of lush green tropical plants and the whole experience is one of a well run and oiled machine. The staff are all extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble when it comes to serving hotel guests and going the extra mile. The food at both restaurants was particularly noteworthy as being excellent and delicious,as were the breakfasts! The front of the hotel faces a lovely Sandy beach with impressive views out to sea. I had two massages whilst there and I can confidently say they were some of the best I have ever had! A most comfortable resort which comes highly recommended.

We booked a long stay for a few families at this hotel. The reservation was made directly on the hotel web site, with clear free-cancellation terms until a few weeks before our stay. We even discussed the free-cancellation date via email with the hotel, and received written confirmation that until a specific date - we can cancel and get a FULL refund. Unfortunately our plans changed and we had to cancel our stay. Both before and after we informed the hotel of the cancellation - we got emails saying clearly that we will get a full refund within 30-45 days (they even informed us in writing that they managed to rent our rooms to other guests). Unfortunately, what followed was 3 months of terrible customer service. The hotel ignored most of our emails, and when we did get a response - it was a generic response of “your refund request is being processed”. After 3 months of waiting, we suddenly got an email saying that since we cancelled late (we did not!), and since they were unable to rent our room to other guests (wrong again!) - they will deduct 15% from our refund. They even dare to claim that we agreed to the reduced refund - which of course we never did. With horrible, unresponsive customer support and many hundreds of dollars that the hotel refuses to refund us with, I would never recommend this hotel.
