This was my first time staying at the Royalton Splash in Punta Cana. I found the property through my Marriott app, I am so delighted to know that they are part of the Marriott Autograph collection. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay at this property. You will also receive Marriott points at the end of you stay (nice perk). Is nice to see all-inclusive properties like this one as part of the Autograph collection. The resort is about 30 min. from Punta Cana airport, transportation to the hotel is easy, you can catch a taxi outside the airport. Checking process was very easy, you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. The lobby bar has a nice selection of drinks. As soon as you come in you are welcome with a drink. Alexis, Roberto and Rosa make the best drinks in the lobby bar. They are so nice and polite. They make you feel like you are at home. The resort room was clean and roomy. I can go on and on, to tell you that overall it was good experience staying at the resort. We will definitely go back. …

This was a fantastic resort for families. Never a dull moment with tons to do. Having the option to visit both resorts gave everyone something to do. It is a long walk between the two, so using the trolleys is a great option. Food and drinks were great. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the water park. We did it to go diamond club and found that it was definitely worth it ( not like at some resorts) our Butler went above and beyond to make sure we had a enjoyable time.

First and foremost we want to say a massive thank you to Rosa and Alexis who work at the reception bar! They made our stay so memorable, from welcome drinks, morning Bellinis and welcoming smiles throughout our stay, they honestly deserve all the recognition! Thank you :-) Royalton was spread over 2 sites lots to do and easy to navigate, housekeeping were great, pools were clean and there were always pool side towels available. Downside was the food, we booked several excursions which included food but outside of this it was a struggle at times to find good food to eat, especially in the buffet which definitely impacted our stay. Overall a good stay.

So,after reading other reviews, I was very worried about our 7 night stay at this hotel. HOTEL - Like others have said, this is not a 5* hotel, but I would class this as a 4* This is however a complex and is set on 2 major sites The Splash and Punta Cana. We stayed at the Splash. ROOMS - We paid for Diamond Club and not sure exactly what was Diamond about the room??? It was nice, comfy and clean but lacked the finer touches. The fridge was stocked 3x out of the 7 we stayed despite calling reception. The rooms lack a bit of TLC and the finer points other Royaltons offer with Diamond Club. Negatives for the room other than a bit more finesse is no milk or packeted milk to use with coffee machine and only 1 pod of coffee left per day and caution in bathroom as once gets wet is like a skating rink and becomes very slippy. HOUSEKEEPING - Fantastic service and friendly staff. Our room cleaned everyday, towels provided and bedding changed 3x in the 7 day stay. FOOD - Agree with others, the buffet is not the best. We ate in the buffet once for evening meal and most mornings for breakfast. Average food at best. We ate in the Mexican, Italian, Hunters Jade and Under The Sea and in each restaurant the food and service was outstanding. BEACH/POOL - We used the Punta Cana side for both. Entertainment and overall standard much better on Punta Cana side. Diamond Club area had no towels available and no servers, so again this let's the hotel down compared to other Royaltons. SHUTTLE SERVICE - This runs between the two sites and does what it's purpose is to transfer between the two complexes. DIAMOND CLUB - Apart from the Butler and booking restaurants, I'm not exactly sure what if any luxury services we received. Check in was a bit chaotic and unorganised and the rooms lack the wow factor and despite a separate beach area there was no service or pool towels. SPLASH PARK - Does the job we had 2 separate days on the splash area and it was good fun. BUTLER - Our butler was Freddie, he is a lovely, welcoming and very friendly guy. Nothing was a problem and the couple of requests we did have he dealt with ASAP STAFF - Every member of staff we warm, friendly very welcoming. Not a problem with anyone on either site. NEGATIVES - As already said definitely not a 5* hotel. Just lacks that wow facture and a bit more attention to detail in some areas. The complex is over 2 sites and the beaches, good pools and most restaurants are on the Punta Cana side A lot of walking on whichever site you are on and I have poor mobility with a walking stick and I struggled. So to sum up, we had a brilliant 7 days visiting Dominican Republic, but unfortunately would not stay at this Hotel/Complex again. Not worth the money for the Diamond Experience and too spread out.…

Best vacation so far, we didn't want to leave. Service was #1, the staff was very attentive and we were like family by the time we left. Some of the best food especially at Taj. Royalton offer one of the best breakfast options including omelet bar, fresh juice bar, and pastries. I had a guava that reminded me of my childhood. Cleanest rooms and beat hospitality is everywhere and everyone on staff at this location.

We went for a week in September and had a really good experience staying at the Diamond Club Jacuzzi suite The best: Butler service. Joel messaged every morning and he coordinated every request we had. Pharmacy inquieries, birthday dinners, restaurant reservations, great service and would recommend him to others Diamond club: would recommend paying for the upgrade, in fact, would probably not go without it as it allows you to get additional services, premium liquour and restaurants that they made our trip Would recommend the tomahawk upgrade at the steak restaurant The bad or could be improved: More DC lounges/ bars or improving the liquour on regular bars I wish we could have charged tips to the room rather than carrying cash all around, alas I would have definitely tipped more as I rarely had cash on me Wouldn’t pay again for the lobster upgrade Overall feedback. After we booked here with Tui I was informed about the recent trend in bad reviews this hotel has recently received. I looked at them and noticed that all was mainly about poor staff and food. I emailed guest relations to raise my concerns and guess what? No response! So straight away had my doubts. Arrived here to mayhem. Absolutely full of locals who are very rude. Checking in was a farce. Took 50 minutes to get us to our room after cart after cart was just turning up full of locals who would not move up a space and stared at us as if we were scum. The room we are still in as we leave in another 7 days is 28105 is spacious and clean. We are situated right next to the pool bar (not bubbles bar) we spent 30 minutes trying to get service as all the staff was mostly interested in was laughing and joking with the locals. One female bar staff served us in a cold manner and left to serve another local couple half way through my order. She was laughing and joking with them and wasn't even bothered about us. I ended up trying to give a 10 doller tip to get better service...The main resteraunt is terrible. Massive queue outside and once your in good luck as the locals are like "get out of my way" they push straight in front and within minutes nothing is left. I mentioned to one member of staff behind the counter that we was low on fries. He looked at me like I was a alien and scowled ...also 90% cannot speak English. The food is shocking...all local and sometimes cold. We travelled up to the Royalton as had access to both hotels and that was a lot better. Staff more polite and food a tad better. We ordered breakfast from our room..First day never turned up..second day over 2 hours to arrive...3rd day over 1 hour. Also cold. We have stayed in Dominican 5 times. 1st time here. We will not return and I strongly suggest that if your English do not book. I'm still here and if the management can be bothered to maybe come and see how the staff are treating some of their guests then its my pleasure to show them. Also the pool is murky and the beds are mostly filthy ...look at pictures...we are happy with the room but the food and staff need sorting as all the negative reviews are about this topic. Yet nothing is seem to be done and management do not care. Only a matter of time as more and more negatives are chipping away at this hotel. Sorry but I am a regular travelling person that goes away 8 times a year so I expect better standards from.a 5* hotel. Like I said we are still here. So I just hope it gets better as my anxiety is not good…

This property exceeded my expectations. My family and I stayed for a weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. The food options were varied and tasty. The quality of the alcohol was top shelf, and the drinks were good too. Room service was good and had many options to choose from. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Best AC, and water pressure of any hotel I've stayed in!! We loved the coffee and icream shop, the best!! Also, the fresh smoothie bar was a plus!! The Splash Waterpark was great, and my teens enjoyed it very much, as did I!. I would just recommend some upkeeping in the public areas,like the chipping paint, plaster coming . Huge mention to Juqn in the Punta Cana buffet, great service. Edgar in the food dept, Willy bartender at the pool bar at Splash and to Romeo our butler at the Diamond club! Worth it for us!!
