Rooms are overpriced. The wifi is horrible. One of the owners or employees sits and plays videogames making the wifi almost unusable. One bathroom smelled horrible and didn't have any ventilation. The showers don't work if anyone else is using the shower nearby. Men made sexual comments as we passed to the bathroom. The bread was flatter than a pancake...

Staying in Chaiten one night we wanted to find comfortable private place for reasonable price. This hospedaje was the best option with adequate (grumpy though) personnel and the host. The facilities were worn, toilet was stuck, kitchen is not available for free use. We liked comfy clean beds with plenty of blankets and tv. Rooms and public space is super...

Should have taken note of RanTheWandere's review! Never have I stayed somewhere where I have felt like the hosts seriously cannot wait for us to leave! We were not rude, demanding, messy or noisy but the owners treated us with such hostility throughout our stay. It is written in "Get South" that the kitchen is "waiting for the next master...

Very nice rooms, very clean, and very good wifi. Very kind hospitality! Fair prices. Only the breakfast isnt the best, and pretty modest. Great place to stay in chaiten! The staff is very friendly and willing to help with anything. Best place weve been on the caratera austral.

We stayed at this hotel during our travel through the Careterra Austal in May 2013. Chaiten is a town that we would have gladly avoided - there is so little here, except the sad and obvious signs of a volcanic explosion that devastated the town. However we did, because our schedule did not allow us to reach the next place...

The owners do not speak English so you may feel less welcomed but the place is spotless and toasty. Not far from Chaitur which is the main bus terminal of this small town. They charge 12000 pesos per person including breakfast. The breakfast is very basic with one instant coffee packet and tea with bread and butter and jam. They...

After a month in Chile, this is the first place we have stayed where we have not felt welcome. The staff were rude. Not one member of staff cracked a smile during our stay and one even glared at us when we used the kitchen (I disrupted her television viewing to ask questions about the local area...). There are a...

When I was travelling in Chile back in February 2013, I couldn't find any budget hostels in Chaiten on tripadvisor. I am so glad that finally somebody put this one here. A couple of backpackers recommended me this place when I was travelling in Chiloe. I am so thankful for that. Good: - very clean - inexpensive compared to other...

A very clean hostel. Has a good kitchen. The manager is a very nice person who will be glad to assist you. Has Wi-Fi. Cost 10,000 chilian pesos for night - a bit expensive for backpacker like me. Has rooms for 2 people
