Puerto Williams is a magical place. And within that magic, wandering makes it more magical. The view and tranquility is incredible.
The food they offer is really wonderful, the breakfasts are very delicious.
The rooms are very comfortable, the ideal temperature.
Its owners, Jorge and Cony, attend to it personally, along with people from the area and that gives it a special value.
The price of accommodation and meals is not cheap… it is not a bargain… but I imagine it is in keeping with the costs of having this type of facility in such an isolated area.
Perhaps the only “bad” thing is that it is far from the town and it is difficult to get around.

We stayed for four nights after flying in from trekking in Torres Del Paine. Very quiet and comfortable and set a few kilometres out of Puerto Williams on the Beagle Channel. We were looking for just a relaxing time before we crossed over to Ushuaia to start an Antarctic cruise, so this was perfect for us.
Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Food and accommodation was also very good. We had to work through our small amount of Spanish and their similar level of English but it was no big problem.

A magic place at the real end of the World. Amazing view, room impecable and very cozy. Food is great. Jorge is the owner and who is looking after every detail. Totally recomendable to stay and have a great time there and/or to use it as a place to stay before and after a trekking day/s.

-They offer a wide range of excursions. Remember to discuss with them before you go.I send many many emails before I go and they reply  to my questions with detailed information on time.

-We go for the short version of trekking Dientes de Navarino, Tierra del Fuego(2D1N). They provide everything we need for the trekking and their guides are amazing and professional!

-After trekking you can enjoy the amazing views from your room of the Errante Ecolodge and their restaurant provides quality food.

-All staff are friendly and helpful there.

-We only stayed for 4D3N in total. We hoped that we could stay longer.-For adventure travel we think that Navarino, the end of the world, would be better than Torres Del Paine. Navarion is uncrowded. In addition, its also cool to have a chill and cosy stay in Errante Ecolodge. Wonderful view and food.

Your boots are full of mud, you almost runned out of clean clothes, and somehow you managed to reach the end of the world before 40.
And what do you find at the end of this journey? Absolute beauty. And a throne to sit on just to contemplate (see picture).

The building: glass and wood is all you see. Jorge (the owner's father) told me the wood is all lenga (Nothofagus pumilo). The architecture has some kind of Japanese inspiration, funtional, minimalistic, but also full of Danish "hygge". Almost free of decoration, all the spotlight is on the views.

White cotton linen, top quality duvet, big mushy towels, great hot water pressure.
I went in low season, so I had the honor to spend a lot of time with Jorge (senior). He and I established a brotherhood and the compromise to walk the Dientes de Navarino Trek together (I can't wait!).

Very good dinner, hearty breakfast and good (real) coffe. The bar has lots of booze.

If you are in Ushuaia cross de Beagle Channel, and if you are comming from Torres del Paine hop on the Aerovias DAP plane in Punta Arenas (flies daily except Sundays). Puerto Williams and specially Errante Eco Lodge definetely worth the effort.

Errante is very new and run by charming and enthusiastic hosts, Constanza and Jorge. The rooms have fantastic views across the Beagle Channel to Argentina, comfy warm beds with crisp white sheets and the showers are hot.
You can have breakfast lunch and dinner here - the food last night was delicious and the breakfasts the best we've had in 3 weeks. The lodge is about 6 kilometres out of town (a good thing) and Jorge and Constanza provide a shuttle service (or there are bikes) to and from Puerto Williams and are full of information about all you can do on the island. There are walks and a waterfall near by.
This is a really lovely place to stay with an incredible atmosphere.

Nice place, nice people, but it is in the middle of construction. Beautiful views, good food. Near Where the Dientes de Navarino trek ends, but quite far from Puerto Williams. An hour of walk or so...

On Sunday, early in the morning, Jorge, the owner of Ecolodge Errante, picked us up, Susana, Juan and I, and we all drove in a comfortable van to Puerto Navarino, where our expedition boat, the Loica, was waiting for us. Once everything was ready and all the passengers were comfortably on board, we started our journey with a great first stop at an amazing island full of wildlife, where we were greeted by South American terns, Imperial and Magellanic cormorants and, surprisingly, a good number of Magellanic penguins.
We continued for about an hour and reached a stunning glacier called Italia, which flows very slowly from Darwin's Range (up to 2500 meters above sea level) all the way down to the Beagle Channel and into the sea. We had pisco "on the rocks" (millennial ice, by the way), enjoyed the views, and watched more carvings for a fair amount of time.
Our next stop was at "Pirates Cove" where we started a walk on a pure winter's bark forest, which was really amazing, then we continued on a golden sand beach and started our way up to a viewpoint to enjoy a view of the Holand Glacier in the distance, it is such a large glacier that if feels it was much closer.
Our last stop was at Hoste Island on our way back, we were welcomed by all its inhabitants, Eugenio, Ester and Claudio. Yes!!!, only three people on the island and they live all year round, rarely leaving it. Our menu was a traditional roast lamb, or cordero al palo, which was really well done by the way, it came with potatoes and salads, all produced in their own vegetable garden. It is a truly sustainable lifestyle, completely "off the grid", with solar panels providing the energy for most of the household chores. It is a little piece of paradise at the end of the world.
The journey ended back in Puerto Williams just before dusk. It was hard to say goodbye to the captain and his crew. Surely many memories will remain in our minds for a long time.

MY HUSBAND AND I SPENT FOUR WONDERFUL DAYS HERE AT THE END OF THE WORLD. THE LODGE IS BEAUTIFUL WITH FLOOR TO CEILING WINDOWS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE BEAUTIFUL LANDSCAPE. I RIDE AN ELECTRIC SCOOTER AND HAVE LIMITED MOBILITY. MY TRAVEL AGENT CONTACTED THE OWNER, JORGE, AND HE SAID HE WOULD PERSONALLY TAKE CARE OF US. THE DAY WE ARRIVED, HE BOUGHT A GRAB BAR TO INSTALL IN THE SHOWER FOR ME. HE BROUGHT IN A LOW TABLE, SO I WOULD HAVE SOMETHING TO SIT ON. HE SET UP A TABLE ON THE GROUND FLOOR WHERE WE TOOK OUR MEALS. THE ACTUAL DINING ROOM IS ON THE SECOND FLOOR, AND I COULDN'T DO THE STAIRS. WE GOT LOTS OF PERSONAL ATTENTION. THE FOOD IS PREPARED BY A CHEF ON LOCATION. THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT! JORGE HAS A BUS AND A BOAT WHICH HE DRIVES FOR GUESTS.

HORSES WANDER THROUGH THE GROUNDS IN THE EVENINGS. THE SUNSETS ARE AMAZING! THE STAFF IS PROFESSIONAL BUT ALSO PUT YOU AT EASE. YOU FEEL LIKE THIS IS YOUR HOME.

THE SETTING IS GORGEOUS! I DEFINITELY WANT TO COME BACK TO THIS MAGICAL PLACE!--SHIRLEY BECK

The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Regrettably we only had two nights there, so we did not have the chance to explore as much as I'd have liked.
Don't miss the coffee shop in town, which has really tasty baked goods.
