travel by bike we stopped here for the night. Great people, spotless, and very comfortable. They helped us with directions, travel, restaurants and more. They also secured the bikes in a private room. thank you.
This is a simple B&B that comes at a really modest rate. Considering this, it is very good value. The rooms are simple yet very clean. Bathroom was small but clean too. Breakfast for such a place in Chile(!) was very good.
Excelente lugar para hospedar; limpio y muy central. La familia es muy amorosa y cordial. 100% recomendado. Excellent place, clean and very central to downtown; the family is very kindness. 100% recommended
This was the best place we stayed on our backpack trip in Chiloé. I tried to remember any low point for the Hospedaje Ayelen, but I couldn't think of any. So I'll focus my review on pointing out what most impressed us. On the top of the list, we felt at home. Alejandra, the ownor and host of the Hospedaje Ayelen is a vibrant woman who made sure everything was spot on in our room. Sheets and covers were confy and there was an up-to-date TV with cable; the private bathroom had towels, warm water and was bright. We were impressed how everything was at its best conditions here. The price for the room was fair and not really competitive with other places in Ancud or Castro. And although the hospedaje is a family house, we had our privacy, which is great. Other key factor in our stay was that we could use the kitchen and fridge. Alejandra has a full equiped kitchen and had no issue letting us take some of her seasonings or using the stove on uncommon times during the afternoon. Most Hospedajens in Chile have strict rules regarding the use of the kitchen. That's not how it is at Hospedaje Ayelen. Here they make you feel at home. The third thing that comes to my mind from the time we were there was Alejandra's travel advices. The kitchen and the living room has maps and other tourist informations hanging on the wall. That's where Alejandra or other family members will show you the best places to go. She also knows all the information you need to get there, such as bus schedules, where they leave and when they drive back to town, what you can see there and when. Trust me: you'll need it. Oh! Almost forgot! You can have an awesome breakfast for just 1000 Chilean Pesos! So worth it. Alajandra will even let you chose when you wanna have it. No need to rush out of bed to get breakfast as you have to do in most places. Ours had bread, butter, tea, milk, eggs, jam, cheese and ham. All really well presented on a breakfast table. If you look for a nice place to stay in Chiloé, drop by and have a chat with Alejadra. …
This B&B was convenient to town - less than a 10 minute walk to the plaza. They had private parking and working WiFi. The breakfast was good and the room comfortable. The hostess was very pleasant and helpful, even with our minimal Spanish abilities. The value was outstanding, and I would stay here again without hesitation.
