Much better options in Castro. Dated hotel, small and saturated parking. Praise you are not blocked by another car and if you do that they are able to find the owner. Breakfast is very basic and starts too late for early birds (7.30). If you're foreign, at checkout, remember to ask the invoice in USD. Does not matter if you presented the immigration paper, passport and the address you have is from another country. If you do not specifically ask for the invoice they will happily charge you 19% VAT. This is the first and only time something like this happened to me in a Chilean hotel. Room, small and very basic. Fridge locked Shower, can only be appreciated if you are into claustrophobic experiences. Will decently book another hotel on my next trip to Castro.
2 nights here Overpriced and poor quality Rooms - we had a junior suite - drapes had shrunk about 15cm, so didn’t cover windows Very poor breakfast - staff too focused on reading their phone to do much more than throw some cutlery on table. OJ was weak & full of sugar Carpets stained, windows need a good clean and grounds are unkempt A property in decline and by far the worst place we have stayed in six weeks in South America Not recommended
The hotel is quite old , but with a very good location and a fantastic view. When you make reservation you have to be very clear that you want to stay in the new area. The old part is awful. Food is good , plates are big and in general well presented. Breakfast really normal. Service is not really good, of courses with some exceptions.
Based on its location, hotel de Castro provides access to down town. Hotel maintains its older architecture and wooden interior. These aspects provide unique experience. Room was nice. Free pool and spa is available. Restaurant serves some unique food and vegetarian options are available too. In summary, not a bad option for the pay!
The view is grat, personal is very kinf, but the restaurant is really bad, the food is not fresh, if yoy can go to another place to eat The location is very good it's near every thing, the bedrooms are very good, tue only problem is the restaurant, but there are others near the hotel, and they are better
