We popped in for lunch on our way to another camp, and then again later for tea because we had enjoyed their rooftop so much. The food was also very nice. It seems like an ideal stop for hikers looking for a rest between trails....More

Hi Caroline. We did exactly that - a relatively close by trek in the morning and then went to Petra. No trouble at all. We did have our own car but you could make the trip easily in about 2 hours. We stopped along the way to look at the castle Shobak which was about 10 minutes drive from the main road to Petra. I wouldn't bother going into the castle if you've seen the Karak Castle. I don't know the price I'm afraid as we had our own hire car (which all went really well) hope that helps.
