We stayed here as part of a tour and got in pretty late, the room was fine, had everything I needed, it was clean, very comfortable under the sheets, it was quite chilly, heater was set at 25 degrees, but it felt like 18, anyway, i stayed under the covers and when I woke up, the view from my window...

Like most folks we were here overnight as part of a trip to Petra. We arrived quite late but a decent buffet meal awaited us. Similarly breakfast was very decent in the morning too. Wouldn't have any hesitation stopping off here in the future

This hotel was part of our tour, so it's not one that I chose. Let's start with the positives...my bed was clean and big with fluffy pillows. Sorry, but that's the end of the positives. The shower/bathroom was sub-standard and the window in the bathroom was disgusting. The toilet seat was coming off and the shower head was gross (see...

We visited Petra two years ago and still think back to this nice hotel. Since we visited Petra outside the high season, they offered us a reduction to the room. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel, both was very good. They also helped us a lot organising the microbus back to the north of Jordan, as it was...

We visited the Al Anbat Hotel as part of a package tour. Arriving at 10 pm, tired from a long bus trip, it was lovely to see a delicious buffet of traditional Middle Eastern dishes lined up. The room was really big, so was the bathroom, and in full working order. The bed was enormous, and the mattress of a...

This hotel was part of a tour package. OK stay for a one night stay. It took 30 minutes to get hot water in the morning. Sleep was comfortable and a nice room. Hotel dinner buffet was good. Never got my wake up call. Again, this hotel was part of a tour package and could not be selected.

This hotel is perfect for 1-2 nights if u just need a place to sleep. Beds were comfortable, views were amazing and breakfast was the worst I've ever had. Eat early or the food and dishes are not replenished. Coffee is instant and oj is Tang. Lights with no plugs, empty trash filled pool, no shower curtain and moldy bathrooms...

We've been here as a family. After a long afternoon in Petra, they received us warm and open hearted, served us tea and coffee and opened their comprehensive Turkish Hammam for us, including tea and shisha. They took so much time for us and even helped us when our car was broken! The beds are clean and comfortable, prices are...

Room clean but freezing cold and no heat. No TV or internet, although there was supposed to be. Pool empty. Food was OK although limited selection. Beware that if you're offered a 'local beer' it will be non-alcoholic, which we think they should have told us about, so we weren't happy. At least the location is good with easy access...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
What began as a name for the masters of the caravans more than 2000 years ago has grown into one of the best and most provisional hotel investments in Petra Region. "Alanbat" is the Arabic name of the Nabataeans, the people who carved Petra, early CBC. Settled in southern Jordan 500 BC, they were expert in water planning & carving. Alanbat Hotels Company was founded in the early 80s by Raja O. Alnawafleh and Brothers. As young men we developed a big area and a small building for a campsite and a hotel. We were the first family of local people of Wadi Mousa town to invest in hotels company and services. We as hotel management have got more than 30 years of experience. Services start with average capacity of 20 poxes; nowadays we have three hotels: Alanbat I (our main location), Alanbat II and Alanbat III. All the new services have been done on our main location to make your visit to Petra and your stay at our hotels amazing and pleasurable. Alanbat hotels can provide you with experienced assistance in getting the most out of your visit to Petra. Our staffs are ready to help you in the soul of Jordanian hospitality. ... more   less
