The room was large and clean and had a good view - however - the hotel is too far out of town to walk in the heat which makes it quite inconvenient and the taxi's add to the cost. The pool was not in use (despite it being 35+C). It was difficult to get a seat in the dinning room...

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!. Close to nowhere or anything unless you have your own transport or get a taxi. The meals in the hotel dining area were not nice and dinner was hugely overpriced. The rooms are in definite need of refurbishment and if you wan't my advice - do not go there. Just as...

This hotel responds well to emails, but the place is over patronised and disorganised. Despite a string of email confirmation and credit card details, denied all knowledge of booking and then transfered us to an adjacent hotel once we showed them the emails. Rooms were clean but hardly furnished. Check out took around 30 minutes..

We were guests at the hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is a bit removed from the city center but the availability of the shuttle alleviated any concerns and was efficient. The rooms were excellent and the restaurant was excellent. Always a buffet format and always good and good value. The staff were continually available and always assisting as necessary...

I booked to stay in the Alanbat 1 a month before my arrival after being left with little choice as most hotels around this price range were fully booked. From reading the reviews on tripadvisor, I felt that Alanbat 1 was the best of the 3 hotels (as they had a restaurant, shuttle service pool and Turkish bath) and when...

Our first trip to Jordan. Rented a car @ Queen Alia airport and drove the well marked desert highway (15) to Petra. Dense fog and rain, but found it in the dark as it's BEFORE Wadi Musa by a couple of km. Family Biz....son Khalid following in Dad's footsteps who built the main portion about 30 years ago and the...

What a study in contrasts! Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights while on a GAP tour of Egypt and Jordan. The curtains only opened to let in a tiny patch of sunlight, the bedhead fell off the bent nail with which it was attached to the wall when I shifted it in search of a powerpoint, the mattress was...

Al Anbat 1 is a great place to explore Petra. It's maybe 2 kilometers ourside of Wadi Musa, but they offer shuttles to the entrance of the archeological park. Most guests appeared to be in tour groups, so I don't think there's a real concern that the shuttle fills up and one has to wait long. The rooms are very...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
What began as a name for the masters of the caravans more than 2000 years ago has grown into one of the best and most provisional hotel investments in Petra Region. "Alanbat" is the Arabic name of the Nabataeans, the people who carved Petra, early CBC. Settled in southern Jordan 500 BC, they were expert in water planning & carving. Alanbat Hotels Company was founded in the early 80s by Raja O. Alnawafleh and Brothers. As young men we developed a big area and a small building for a campsite and a hotel. We were the first family of local people of Wadi Mousa town to invest in hotels company and services. We as hotel management have got more than 30 years of experience. Services start with average capacity of 20 poxes; nowadays we have three hotels: Alanbat I (our main location), Alanbat II and Alanbat III. All the new services have been done on our main location to make your visit to Petra and your stay at our hotels amazing and pleasurable. Alanbat hotels can provide you with experienced assistance in getting the most out of your visit to Petra. Our staffs are ready to help you in the soul of Jordanian hospitality. ... more   less
