A great stay at the Mövenpick Hotel I spent two wonderful days at the Mövenpick Hotel in stunning Petra. The hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of location, bar, food quality, service, hospitality, quality of rooms/breakfast etc. The highlight was the very attentive service by the handsome young man with a great smile Mutaz N - what a kind and charming staff member that deserves a special mention! The level of service of the staff is unmatched by their expertise and high capabilities. I'm glad I decided to make it my residence. Movenpick, a young crew member with a positive energy that I have never seen before in my life mutaz n, deserves a special commendation for my excellent service. My family and I have been very accommodating. I was amazed at this young man's abilities. Quick service at the bar and he went above and beyond. So much so that he convinced me to take a dish really prepared by the most skilled chef called Beef Villa Steak, he also convinced me to have a butter sauce with milk and mashed potatoes, it was one of the nicest things I had in addition to the signature drink. Wine Imported Reply It actually tastes great like it said I'm not a huge fan of this stuff, so I was shocked at how easy it was to convince me of that) I'm actually quite a picky eater. Thank you Mutaz N. for what you did. I enjoyed the bar, the music, the sweets and the ice cream, which also convinced me of it. It is not easier to satisfy all customers. But I am sure that if the young man served them, everyone would be happy. The breakfast was beautiful. The staff in the morning was great. The restaurant manager is very good. Fabulous hotel. So close to the entry to Petra that it was a blessing. The staff in the dining area were really friendly and the food was lovely. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The swimming pool was hard to get to but lovely once you got there !

Perfect location right in front of entrance to Petra. Very comfortable bed, great breakfast, fabulous dinner on the rooftop. The pool is lovely, perfect after a long hot day walking. All the staff so nice and friendly, really couldn’t fault this hotel.

Our stay at the Movenpick hotel was an enjoyable one. The room and facilities were comfortable and clean. Our room was at the back and had no view to speak of but it was very quiet and so suited us. The enclosed balcony was a nice touch. An excellent range of food – Western and Middle Eastern - was offered at the buffet breakfast and dinner. However, the bar menu and the drinks menu for the Team Room on the fourth floor were somewhat limited. The ice-cream shop on the ground floor provided delicious Movenpick fare. The location is excellent, being right opposite the entrance to the Petra archaeological site and museum. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are shoe cleaning machines on certain floors – much needed after any expedition to the sights of Petra. When cleaning my pair of shoes, a staff member walked past and, unbidden, offered to take my shoes away for a proper clean and polish. I gladly accepted and the polished shoes were returned to the room promptly. Most welcome!…

This is a wonderful hotel that is walking distance to the archaeological site of Petra. It is clean, stylish and the food is excellent. The public areas are clean and enticing and the rooms are also clean and comfortable. The gift shops are also very nice and offer excellent buys on jewelry and souvenirs.
