Last minute booking made, as I was working on an event through the night, arrived late afternoon, and was shown to my room by the manager, who was cleaning up the back patio area in readiness for the long summer. Shown to my room, it was time to put the kettle on for a nice cuppa tea, oh yes this...

Stayed at the crown for two nights whilst attending a family wedding. A great find, comfortable rooms, clean and nicely furnished. A choice of breakfast freshly cooked and served by very friendly and helpful staff. An added bonus was the delicious food served in the Gurkha One restaurant attached to the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

Situated in a beautiful village, a small bed and breakfast with very clean rooms and very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast is amazing, close to Southwell racecourse with easy access by train or bus to Newark on Trent.

In the same premises as Gurkha One, this is an ideal budget B&B. I stay here and combine it with a meal. The rooms are very clean, tidy and quiet. The breakfast is cooked to your liking with a smile and laugh from the owner. You are made to feel very comfortable here both in terms of room and service.

Stayed overnight as attending a party in the area. Room was lovely, everything you want with some lovely little extras. Spotless and comfortable, small but adequate. Breakfast cooked to order and delicious. Staff team are so genuinely helpful. Tried some starters from the menu and just know I will be returning. Absolutely delicious food - what a find. Thanks for...

The room was bright and nicely decorated. The ensuite was small but nice toiletries made up for this. Everything was very clean and beautifully presented. Nice touches like the bottled water and bath robes. The curry in the adjoining restaurant was something else .As a seasoned curry eater from Bradford , I feel qualified enough to judge this as one...

I think the key plus point is that the owners could not be more cheerful, welcoming, and helpful. We had a twin room which was not large but adequate. Not a lot of furniture, e.g. no working space. But nicely decorated, comfortable beds and pillows. Good wardrobe space. Towels changed daily. Tiny ensuite with good shower. This is not a...
