As a local family who enjoy eating out relatively regularly, we continue to be disappointed in the Kings Head. For a drink, it's okay as long as you go off peak time otherwise the staff struggle to cope & you wait a long time to be served. For food; I would avoid. The food is clearly pre-prepared & comes out...

The pub is set on the riverside and it is nice to sit outside on a warm day. There is a good choice of food either from the menu or the carvery. Our order was a bit hit and miss the salmon was loverly but the pulled pork sandwich and burger were not so good. The restaurant is child and dog...

If you're in need of a lovely drink avoid the King's Head. The service is slow and bar staff will only serve at their pace. Training needs to be given for the staff to take notice of who's been waiting and who just turns up!!

We live about 8 miles from this pub but visit regularly. Food really nice pub grub. Drinks reasonably priced. They've done quite a bit of work over the years and definitely looking the nicest it has done in a long time!! Shabby chic sort of look. Outside seating is right on the river, lovely on a sunny day! Ample parking...

We booked this place as it looked lovely online. We were however very disappointed. Firstly there is no clear sign as to where check-in is and after looking for it for a while we found it to be a little space like a cupboard. We stayed in room 7 and the room itself was ok. We had an evening meal...

Arranged to meet my daughter for Lunch. We ordered our food and I asked how long as she only had an hour. Was assured it would be no more than 30mins. Whilst waiting I checked the receipt and saw that they had ordered two meals incorrect and overcharged. Explained and order was changed and refund given. Was assured it would...

We needed somewhere to stay at short notice and checked in to The Kings Head yesterday afternoon. The check-in process was efficient and the gentleman told us we could ask for more tea/coffee/milk in our room at any time. We stayed in Room 5 which was spacious and clean. There's no shortage of power sockets (16 in all!), and although...

Booked to stay here for a last minute short winter break. As we booked last minute there was only one room left (small double). The room was ok although I would prefer something bigger if we had been staying longer than a couple of days. My only gripes with the room were that the shower was not very hot and...

Only stayed the night but had a good nights sleep and breakfast in the morning was lovely. Not very busy when we stayed but that was better for us. Had 3 rooms for our stay No 2 4 and 7 and they all did the job.
