This is our second visit, this time in our Caravan, plenty of space, pick your own site, that suits you. On arrival We where welcomed back like old friends. Very good surroundings, with lots of Birds, Kangaroos, at your door. The camping areas are kept in excellent condition, even though it had rained, and did rain , the grassed area...

We just had a great Family camping weekend thanks to the team at Mt Barney Lodge. Camp sites are all grass, take your pick. So many different sites to choose from. One great thing is you get to have a camp fire every night. Big open areas so the kids can play. The creek is great, has a good swimming...

This place is magical. The venue so picturesque and quiet. The owners so lovely. The facilities so clean. The air so crisp and the water so refreshing. Do yourself a favour and get out there. The campervans has been freshly renovated with new canvas and carpet. Get going!!!

The camper trailer canvas is only a week old, and the new tropical roof will add degrees of coolness for summer. This really is glamping!! - (glamorous camping)

Amenities are just average, and there is a basic shop. Only spent 2 nights here, but this is camping at its best. Plenty of walks in surrounding area, and the view from our campsite towards Mt Barney at all times of day is unforgettable. Will be back.

Hi Bryn, We are often told our amenities are the best in SEQ. Please get in touch with us to let us know how we can improve your experience next time. But you are right about our reception - we just stock the very basics to keep you out of trouble. We recommend that you purchase everything you need before...

We love camping here. Gives us the surroundings to recharge our batteries and get back to nature. Give the kids & us a device free weekend. Love it♥️♥️. Roasting marshmallows over an open fire is all the entrtainment we need.

On Sunday 25 September 2016 a group of 9 started out from Yellow Pinch carpark at Mt Barney at 6.15am. We trekked to the summit of Mt Barney following in the footsteps of Captain Patrick Logan who reached the summit in 1828. The hike was more difficult than I expected and it was the most challenging hike I've ever done....

Sounds like an epic day Ozjgirl. Did you stay with us? I hope so, as Mt Barney Lodge has a range of accommodation and we are closest to the mountain. Our uninterrupted views are perfect for storytelling about the day that was on the mountain ;)

I have been popping down to the Boonah area for years to walk and climb in the mountains. I often stay at Mt Barney Lodge as it beautiful and well-run. My last visit was by accident. My friend and I had hiked in to a campsite in the adjacent national park, only to find we had no matches for the...

Weary travelers are always welcome (we do recommend booking first as we strictly limit numbers to provide a wilderness experience) and we do what we can to make your stay a comfortable one. Welcome back!

We camped with perfect weather, great informative staff who knew all the hiking trails and more. We will be going back a couple more times this year to do more hiking within 10 km of the lodge, it will be our base camp because all the amenities are there and the staff are great.

Plenty of hiking to be done within an hours drive of Mt Barney Lodge. We also have local experience to share of some of the more distant hikes as well, so be sure to ask for Innes' advice when you are here. We genuinely love the outdoors, and that's where we spend our time off too!

We only use the camp ground, the is plenty of room to spread out. The amenities block is well maintained with fresh flowers on the vanity top. Plenty of wildlife about, I managed to get a photo of a wallaby with a joey in the pouch. It's the closest you can camp to Mt Barney's east side.

Been 4 times this year 2016, and always come back. Why? I love the toilet block, it's clean, perfect, with the softest toilet paper. Really no joking, along with the cutoff to 100 guests you come into Mt Barney Lodge (campsites) and Tracey and Innes have created a very private and comfortable place for you to set up tent. Soft toilet paper is our secret marketing tool!! It makes a good impression several times a day. A no-brainer, and we have selected paper made in Brisbane from office waste. Saving the environment on square at a time!!
