I was going to speak to you, Innes, on our departure, while we were in the office paying our fee, but you chose to answer the phone and take my money at the same time and you didn't ask us how our stay was... so here it is. Beautiful grounds - however during our 3 night stay, the cows mooed...

Amazing location with plenty of space for camping, excellent facilities and friendly staff. What more do you want? We had a wonderful week relaxing at Mt Barney Lodge. The kids loved the challenge of the rock climbing and hiking to the Lower Portals. We shall definitely be back.

We have been camping at Mt Barney for 3 years in a row now during the Easter school holidays and generally camp with 3-4 other families. The camp ground is beautiful, lots of grassy, open space with a magic creek, swimming holes, and superb bush walks. The facilities are fantastic and always kept very clean. There are never too many...

Best week holiday we have had. Heaps of space and even at capacity felt like our own private campground. Owners and staff are fantastic. Kids had a ball in night activities. Creek was heaps of fun and not too cold. Facilities always clean and nice hot water. We will be back.

Picturesque camping ground with lots of trees, gorgeous creek with swimming holes & clean, well kept facilities. We camped with two boys under 4, they loved the space, the creek & being able to visit the horse. They were also encouraged to be involved in the 'Nature play - I'm a free range kid' program.

We stayed for a long weekend and the camp was really quiet because of a lousy weather forecast that never materialised. The ground was flat and firm and water not too far away. We chose to set up as far from the amenities as we could, but it was still only a few minutes walk. The amenities were spotless though...

Mt Barney Lodge is in the rain-shadow of the 1359m mountain, which means that rain often goes around us. So when rain is forecast, or if it is tipping down in Brisbane or the Gold Coast, we can get minimal rain. I think weather forecasts are often inaccurate, and mobile phones and weather apps have caused campers to be overreactive...

Great location and pristine upkeep - they even had fresh flowers in the bathroom daily. Awesome spot for families. Good area, reasonably close to local pub for a camping ground, and also has plenty of bush walking tracks, including one with an epic creek which was refreshing to swim in during the summer (and a large rock to jump off!)....

Thanks for your review Megan. The creek is a huge drawcard in the summer, and the waterhole on our property has just been recharged from the recent rain. Loving it!

My friends and I recently spent 3 days camping out at the Mount Barney Lodge and we have never been so satisfied! From the breathtaking views, the excellent toilet/shower facilities and not to mention the incredible staff!! I actually rang the staff about 5 times before we even got there just to ask general questions and they were more than...

Had two days here over New Years period. Place is well kept and staff friendly. They stock ice and firewood which is really useful. Short walk to a great little water hole where we spent two afternoons. My boys loved swinging on the rope and jumping off the rock. Good toilet and shower block.

Hi Daniel, Thanks for seeing in the New Year with us. It is the one night of the year that we relax our 10pm noise curfew .... but having said that not many make it to midnight after enjoying swims and waterholes and the country air anyway!!
