This is a beautiful small lodge located at the slopes of Mount Kenya. The main attraction of the lodge is a natural pool in which wild animals come to drink from, especially during the night. The pool is mesmerizing as wild animals wander around it during the night and you can watch them from your room, a roof balcony or... More

The exterior of this lodge is rustic, all stained green to fit in with the setting. It backs up on a watering hole where we saw elephants, hyenas, water bucks, impala and a cape buffalo during our short stay. The rooms are a bit small, but that's the price you pay for the scenery. The food at the restaurant was... More

This is a lodge like a large tree house. Narrow stairways and passages. Unique and rustic. Food was good. Service average. Rooms are small. cosy and clean, with awesome view of the water hole, which attracts buffalo, elephants and deer in abundance. If there are any animals you wish to see, you can let the staff know and they will... More

What a wonderful place, myself and my other half stayed here and we couldn't be happier! The people there were absolutely delightful, the food was delicious and the view of the waterhole was just amazing! There is an option to be woken up if an animal appears, we opted in and we were woken at 2am to a group of... More

We had one night at the lodge but it was brilliant. The mist came down for a while but once it lifted we saw wild pigs, Cape Buffalo, Owls, Deer and Genet. The underground tunnel leads to a viewing bunker right next to the waterhole for a brilliant view and the team will even wake you up if any animals... More

From the moment we arrived, the hustle and bustle of the city dwindled away. The air was so fresh and the environment totally tranquil. Even though the lodge is deep in the forest, its tarmacked all the way. We stayed two nights for our anniversary. As usual we were impressed by the Serena standards of delicious food, service and cleanliness.... More

We stayed one night as part of the Best of Africa Safari from GoWay vacations and Vintage Africa. The air was invigorating! It was a wonderful place to relax after days bouncing around in a jeep. The hotel is made of wood, so great on the feet! The rooms are small (shower only) but comfortable, and as with all the... More

The Serena Mountain Lodge is something different. in the middle of the forrest in fornt of the mighty Mount Kenya. The Lodge looks a bit tacky, but gives an unique opportunity to spot animals and relax in a quite area. The lodge holds the level of Serena service and cleanness and the food is amazing. However the rooms are noisy... More

A beautiful wodden lodge tugged in the forest with all the comforts you could wish for. It was a pleasure to be greeted by bush buck on arrival. The rooms have huge windows looking out to the waterhole and salt lick where one can sit for hours observing the animals. The jungle walk did not show any animals but it... More
