We stayed at the Nkuringo Gorilla Camp for three nights, and had a truly amazing experience. The owner, Robert, is a memorable person in our travels (and in a 4 month round the world trip you do meet a lot of people). With his dedication to the hotel (he would do even lower level tasks such as mowing the lawn),...

One of the most memorable & special places I have ever stayed! The staff went are incredibly friendly and welcoming and did everything they could to make us feel at home. The property is located in a small village, near the Nkuringo gorilla trekking station, and the tourism here is more low-key than in Buhoma which is what we were...

We stayed three memorable nights at Nkuringo Gorilla Camp. From the moment we parked at the camp to the minute we left, our trip was perfect. The staff was 100% accommodating, including showing me how to make chapatti (a local favorite and not on the daily menu) and dealing with our never ending special requests for local food. Always smiling,...

We stayed three nights in Nkuringo Gorilla camp and used it as a base to explore Bwindi and the gorillas. I have to say, the place itself is absolutely worth the journey and in combination with the gorilla trecking, it was a truely wonderful experience. Staff are very nice and considerate, food was excellent and Rob, the manager, has plenty...

Our 12 days in Uganda, were the best part of our honneymoon, and this is hugely because of Nkuringo walking safaris. Betty and Lydia were very helpful and thorough during the planing phase. They provided us a day by day cost breakdown, and were happy to review the plan for accomodating our needs to every detail. We ended up with...

Nkuringo was beyond all expectations!!! It was after Kili and a safari. We flew to Entebbe. Betty greeted us..what a sweetheart! We flew from Entebbe to Kisoro the next day. The flight was spectacular. We were picked up and driven for two hours to Nkuringo. The driver was infomative and helpful. We stopped to get our wine supply for our...

My husband and I decided to take a last minute gorilla trekking trip to Uganda. Given the short planning window we emailed a number of lodges and tour operators for assistance, but no one was as responsive or as thorough in their response as Nkuringo Gorrila Camp. Lydia from the Nkuringo team was very helpful in planning all aspects of...

When I step off the bus in Kisoro (one of Dianne Fossey’s favorite hangouts) I am greeted by my driver named Honest. No kidding. How can you not trust a driver named Honest? “Hello, David,” he says. How does he know my name? Oh, wait. I am the only white guy on the bus. Mercifully he heeds my request to...

My stay in Nkuringo was one of the most memorable of my life, been an expat for over 14 yrs, lived across several continents and travelled a great deal, but Nkuringo truly stood out as an amazing experience from start to finish. The camp is extremely peaceful, a great escape from the city life to reconnect with nature - and...

A great camp with amazing views. The staff are fantastic and so friendly, nothing is too much to ask. The cold nights are helped by blankets with dinner and a hot water bottle waiting between the sheets. Loved the constant supply of tea and coffee which was perfect in a rainstorm. We drove ourselves which was challenging at times but...
