Yet again, my group and I were impressed by the beauty, hospitality, and delicious meals of this lodge. Once again, Jotham and his staff exceeded expectations and made us regret leaving. I cannot wait till my next visit and highly recommend anyone to visit.

I just finished spending two nights here to go gorilla trekking. From the pickup at the airport to drop off, I felt welcomed to be a guest. I frequently travel in Africa alone and that can be a bit odd for some places. The staff at Mahogany Springs made me feel instantly welcomed and a bit looked after. They knew... More

In 2013 we had our first gorilla experience in Uganda hosted by the lodge Mahogany Springs. The cottages, the location, the staff, the food; everything is excellent. Therefore we decided to come back this year at this place. Paradise on earth for gorilla trackings. The standard of service this year was even higher than before. Nothing is impossible for the... The hotel is very well placed for gorilla trekking. The rooms are very comfortable and have wonderful views of the forest. The staff were particularly helpful, and it was great to find out more about their support for a local school (Bwindi plus nursery and primary school). A group of children from the school came to the hotel to show... More

It's located directly next to the Buhoma gate (one of the three park HQs for accessing the gorillas) say a 5-minute drive, 10 minute walk. The hotel is lovingly designed and blends in comfortably with the surroundings. There is the main lodge with a welcoming reception area, a small gift shop, a large bar, a large dining room and an... The location is amazing, the cottages are beautiful and clean and staff is very warm and welcoming. You can also relax on a sofa right in front of the fireplace after dinner. So much atmosphere makes you forget about the WiFi being whimsical at times and power to be available only at certain hours of the evening as the system... More

My two night stay at Mahogany Springs was honeymoon worthy! The room was large with beautiful large windows and plenty of natural light. The rooms are well-decorated, clean, and highly maintained. The room has no wifi and no electricity after 10:30 PM, which was fine with me. The main lodge is quaint and cozy. Dinner is a choice of two... More
