These lovely cottages are on a beautiful hillside just outside of Bwindi park. The real treasure is the staff, who are instantly like old friends welcoming you home. The food is fantastic and served overlooking the green, misty valley. A morning wake-up call is performed by a gentle knock on the door with a tray of coffee and cookies on...

Hi Wag, Thanks for the review, I am pleased to hear that you did not want to leave! It is great that you appreciated the shoe cleaning. Most clients leave our lodge with cleaner shoes than they arrived with! Thanks Barrie and the whole Mahogany Springs Team

Impeccable service at Mahogany Springs! We were greeted with delicious cool fruit juice and smiling staff, who gave us a full tour of the well-appointed lodge and showed us to our beautiful room. What a treat to look out over the lush rainforest and spot the gorillas off in the distance two days in a row! Like other reviewers, I...

I stayed at Mahogany Springs in September and all I can say is WOW. This lodge is truly magical. The staff cannot do enough for you. On arrival at the airstrip the driver was waiting for us with chilled bottles of water. He loaded our bags and off we went. The drive to the lodge is through some beautiful landscapes...

Sometimes, it's the little things. Cold bottle of water as you step off the plane, fresh towel when you arrive, a group "1,2,3" when dinner is served...a surprise hot water bottle when you turn in. But it's all about the basics! A comfortable bed, a rainfall style shower, a fully stocked BAR! Samosas...not essential in any trip until you come...

Dear Noachy, Wow what a review!! Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review of the lodge. At Mahogany Springs those are all the basics, hot water bottles, wet towels on arrival and before dinner plus everything else that you have mentioned. It is also great that you loved the 1,2,3 lift the cloche before dinner....

I cannot say enough positive things about this place. The staff were amazing and so attentive and friendly. Anything you wanted they provided with a smile and they genuinely wanted you to enjoy your stay. The food was outstanding and the menu provided a nice break from traditional food (we had been travelling for over 3weeks in Africa). The rooms...

My wife and I visited this lodge while trekking to see gorillas in Bwindi National Park. The lodge has a very good location close to the National Park entrance. Also the view from the terrace of our cabin was spectacular. The food served in the restaurant was good but not great. Service is excellent. Our cabin was a bit shopworn...

We stayed at Mahogany Springs for two nights in October, using it as a base to go and see the gorillas. It was a shame we didn't have more time. The lodge itself is beautiful.
