The lodge is a simple but perfect base from which to explore the forest and track gorillas. The lodge provides outstanding views of the forest and mountains and provides spacious and comfortable accommodation. The staff are tremendously welcoming and helpful. The routine at the lodge is relaxed and provides plenty of food and drink after a day walking in the...

Yes this is the place! So Close to the Entrance to National Park and only inches away from their village! But the hotel is rustic personal clean and so obliging. Food dependant on chef is good. Accommodation and service great. Location as I say beautiful and one is living in another beautiful world. Lovely helpful considerate staff a joy to...

Dear WingedPegasus Thank you for choosing to stay at Bwindi Lodge. Guests really appreciate its proximity to the National Park - I'm sure our staff told you that occasionally you can even see the gorillas from the lodge! Bwindi really is an exceptionally beautiful part of the world isn't it?

We stayed here as part of an 8 day safari with Volcanoessafari. They did a brilliant job and everything went like clockwork. The Volanoes people we met could not have been more helpful. On the penultimate day, when we found out that the airline that was taking us back to Entebbe had delayed our flight thus halving the connection time...

The lodge is very conveniently located for gorilla trekking and it really does feel like you are in the forest. The view from the dining area is fantastic and the bird life and the sounds of the forest are amazing. There are a number of stairs on the property, it is built on a hillside and the steps can be...

Dear diandcas Many thanks for your detailed feedback. I'm sure other visitors to Uganda will find your information very useful when they are planning their trip. Drying clothes is a perennial problem in areas surrounding the lush forest. Sitting around the firepit in the evening is one great way to try out damp clothes of course!

This is such a great hotel. The manager and staff go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. Lovely views. Delicious meals. I found gorilla trekking extremely hard in my arthritic knees - have had one knee replacement but hardest on my unreplaced knee. The manager, Joselyn, invited the manager of the Gorilla treks to the hotel...

Dear usKathy222 Thanks for your positive feedback. We're delighted you enjoyed your stay. Congratulations on trekking the gorillas. The terrain can be quite challenging, particularly if it's wet and muddy, but there are always plenty of ranger guides on hand to help you navigate your way to the great apes. The rangers do a great job and we are very...

We stayed three nights at the lodge so that we could visit the gorillas twice. The main lodge and the rooms are extremely nice. They don't have a pool, but I enjoyed taking a cold beer down to the watering hole in the river and soaking myself in cool relaxation after the gorilla trek. The free massage is a fantastic...

Dear Tony Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We are delighted you had such a great stay with us at Bwindi Lodge. Our lodge staff really appreciate the great feedback.
