Ranjay, Thank you for making the stay of my Army veteran friends very comfortable and memorable at Bhopal Grande....they thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of the guest house excellently maintained and loved its location with a gorgeous view of the lake. I must add that your staff...that is both the Rahul's...and the chef are good. Shankar, managing the show is excellent and exceptional. His approach, behavior and handling of situations is very respectful and cooperative. The Chef Gupta comes up with very homely and tasty food. The veterans were all full of praise for the staff, service and their stay at Bhopal Grande They were very well looked after. Thank you once again for all efforts. Warm Regards. Capt Vijay Chhiber
It was a short 3 nights stay for 20 of us, so we had the entire 8 bedroom accommodation to ourselves. They laid out extra mattresses as needed. The stay was comfortable and in the posh location of Shamala Hills. The approach road is a little broken but the location and lakeside views are serene. For the fitness conscious one could go down the steep set of stairs to the lakeside (lower lake area) and make the most of morning walks along the lake, with excellent Maggi, coconut water and chana bhel options. This is fairly close to the tourist spots like Van Vihar and Tribal Museum. Coming back to the accommodation, the service is great with excellent home made delicious choices. The chef is different for vegetarian food, available mostly during breakfast and lunch. The dinner chef offers non veg options. One could clearly mention their choices in advance and it’s well catered to. When in Bhopal you must try their chef’s special jalebi. It’s totally out of the world - haven’t had better jalebis ever. The tawa rotis accompanying the main course are freshly made and served hot. The housekeeping is much like how we have at home, the staff is quite accommodating and with our family size they always served with a smile and went the extra mile whenever asked. I would recommend the place for anyone going for a longer stay or in a big group. Kudos to the owner, staying next door - Mr. Ranjay for managing this so well.…
IF you are satying in Bhopal this is a good choice. Not the best visit here in the City but it was nice to have the comforts of home in this accommodation. We would saty here again of we go back. Decent service, clean.
Stayed overnight. Room was small and dingy on first floor with no views whatsoever.Although we had pre booked in advance we were told there were no vacancies for room with lake views . The hospitality made up for the room . Food was very good so was the service.
These are actually group of 10 SERVICE apartments. Owners stay next door. Approach road is not good. Google navigation stops 20 meter short so continue on the road to find the place. You get spectacular view of late from Shyamala hill. When we went , possibly we were the only ones occupying one of the 10 rooms. the manger and staff however put us at ease. Wifi was free. Breakfast was really good, was prepared as per our order and served hot. Some of the Bhopal attractions such as Tribal Museum, Gauhar Mahal etc are relatively close by. If you are a family, suggest pick up other hotels nearby no point in staying at isolated place, away from main road, where rooms are not occupied much. Special thanks to Hotel staff who made every effort to make our stay enjoyable.
The hotel is for you if you look for peaceful holidays. The view from the room is great, the rooms are really good and clean. They provide you with tea and coffee maker. Our room balcony faced towards the lake and the view was mesmerizing. We had some issues with our food though. The road to reach the hotel is in a bad condition. All in all a decent property for a vacation.
The Bhopal Grand is a nice, homely place if you have to stay in Bhopal. The location is beautiful, overlooking the upper lake. With the added comfort of good food and personalised service. The place was neat and clean and the staff was also helpful in organising transport for us.
I was given personalized service and was even dropped to my place of work, free of cost, when i couldnt find a taxi to take me there. Lake view and personalized service. Very polite and caring staff and clean rooms.
I think it is the best hotel in Bhopal. I stayed there for two days it was very awesome experience the staff was corporative and the food was delicious and the rooms were neat. it was very nice in Bhopal grand I suggest you all to visit this hotel
They have only 6 rooms. They write luxury service apartments, but there is nothing like it. No doubt, the staff is very good and they prepare good food as per your order. Only lake facing rooms are worth living. You don't find anything nearby. Even taxi people find it difficult to reach. For one or two days it is OK.
