Stayed here for the third time this year…this time in Dec 2022. Hotel rooms and food quality are all great. I stayed in the new wing by the Pool this time and rooms are larger, which is a positive. Food was literally to die for in all the restaurants. Staff behavior is very inconsistent and bizarre in some cases. Shahnuma, La Kuchina, Spa staff were all great. Travel Desk was also helpful. Cafechino was a debacle…as they were not willing to help with anything and suggested we leave and order Room Service instead. 👎🏽 Front Desk staff was brusque on check-in and check-out. Mango Tree was just poorly trained, but effort was there. Maybe they didn’t get paid Christmas bonus and are angry about it…who knows??!? Makes me want to reconsider visiting again.

Our Stay was very good, we enjoyed the family time. All the staff were very courteous especially Abdul Hameed and Roop were extremely nice, they made our stay memorable. The rooms are very spacious and well decorated. The restaurant’s were very good as well.

This stunning building that houses the hotel was built in white marble edifice melds British Colonial, Italian Renaissance and Classical Greek architectural styles with facets of Art Deco. It was supposedlyconstructed as the general’s office, and then used as his sons’ secretariat. After Independence, it became a government hostel, and later, the offices of the Geological Survey of India. But in its current form as a palace hotel it is easily one of the best royal luxury hotels in the country! LOCATION: Good location in the heart of the city, and quick access to the iconic UPPER LAKE. DINE + DRINK: The TAO bar and restaurant is a chic place to see and be seen with the cool folks of the town. The SHERGAR bar oozes old world charm. And UNDER THE MANGO TREE is a pretty cozy restaurant literally located under a huge mango tree and serving a wide range of local and regional dishes. The breakfast at the SHAHNAMA restaurant was an indulgent affair ROOM: I stayed in Room 612, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Sweet view of the greenery and horsetrack from the lovely Terrace/Balcony connected to teh room; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Excellent Spa quality cosmetics from KAMA luxury ayurveda brand! FACILITIES: Good sized Gym with a full range of weights and Cardio machines good enough for a full on workout. A wonderful swimming pool that is perfect for a chilled out aqua lounging or a proper workout. SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made me feel pampered and well taken care of. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Low-speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. We have visited Jehan numa Palace hotel 7/ 8 times in the last one year needles to say the love and care exuded by the place has made it our second home. The detailing in every food item prepated in each of the gour restaurants Mango Tree Cafechino Tao Shahnama and Bistro are mindblowing. Special teference to the managers and staff who have become like family ..Mr Ranjan (Manager),Roop,Padam,Hariprasad,Pallab,Kedar and. all.the chefs.Wonderful housekeeping by Vinod and his team. I would refer everyone to visit and feel the experience . Regards to all in Jehan numa Tomars. (Basant Tomar and family)
