You cannot fault the fabulous welcome and hospitality served up by Margaret and Tony when you stay at The School House. Ideally located in the Borders to visit so many attractions and places, it is the perfect place to stay.

The best welcome, the best surroundings, the best food. My husband and I have just had the best stay with Margaret and Tony at The School House. Unique and comfortable surroundings and nothing was ever too much trouble. We lacked for nothing, with all the extra touches provided for us. We will definitely be returning for another visit.

Margaret and Tony made us very welcome and didn't mind our dirty boots! Spent night before Kelso Ram Sales. Lovely evening meal and lots of good conversation. Gardens are beautiful. And we did well at the sale!!!

Brilliant B&B on the borders area, stopped for two nights. Lovely accommodation, wonderful hosts and to top it all excellent food - cant wait to go back. Even the dampness didn't spoil this gem of a B&B.

We have stayed here several times and Margaret and Tony always make us so welcome. Nothing is too much trouble, they both go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Margaret's evening meals are a must, her cooking is cordon bleu and the daily menu is varied and very well thought out. The rooms are...

What great hospitality from Margaret and Tony. Each room was so full of character and there were lots of special touches. The food for dinner and breakfast was so good and we really felt at home with them. Nothing was too much trouble and they were such good company we felt reluctant to leave. Their award was so well deserved.

Myself and my husband stayed here for one night recently on our way to visit family in Nottinghamshire. Everything about it was perfect - afternoon tea when we arrived, a delicious evening meal cooked by Margaret and served by Tony and breakfast in the morning, not to mention the room itself. It shines through how much they enjoy what they...

My wife and I stayed with Margaret and Tony for 1 night. Summarized: friendly, super hosts, great place, nice rooms, excellent food. We were offered a place for our Harley Davidson in their garage, nice and comfortable. Absolutely a great place when driving back to the ferry in Newcastle, when you start your Scottish holiday or just when you are...
