Writing this review on behalf of my parents who stayed there on a Thursday night. They received a warm welcome and made to feel at home straight away. Their room, evening meal and breakfast were of an excellent standard. The bar prices alone are worth the trip down from Edinburgh. My parents have said to pass on their thanks to...

great room, splendid evening meal and breakfasts, Alex was a great host. We stayed for a weekend cycling round the borders doing the 4 abbeys route and the cycling back over the border home. The haggis and whisky was to die for!

We were greeted by a friendly & helpful member of staff. Our room was in an annexe. It was spacious and clean with a French door giving out onto a small grassed area. The bathroom was large and clean with a big shower cubicle that was most welcome after our 14 mile walk. The food at both dinner and breakfast...

If ever a hotel needed to wake up shake itself down and take a good look at itself it is the Glenbank House in Jedburgh. Rooms were adequate though tight, but for tired cyclists just about fit enough for purpose. The food was however, underwhelming at best and more often poor. Wet, anaemic bacon adorned with white residue accompanied by...

We had originally been booked in a different hotel through a certain booking website. Our reservations had been cancelled at the last minute due to double booking (two separate rooms booked separately - strange). The website suggested the Glenbank House Hotel. We were incredibly lucky. The hotel is set in off the main (incredibly quiet) street. It consists of a...

Had a good night in Jedburgh. Traditional hotel in a great location. Host was good company, funny and knowledgable. Menu had something to suit all tastes - basic but freshly cooked to order. Breakfast was great.

The owner was very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. Tge room was great and clean enough. The shower was brilliant. Defo would go back again. The owner told us where was good to eat, and certainly didn't disappoint. Plenty of room for on site parking

Booked in advance for a couple weeks and was looking forward to the meal as the reviews were really great Sadly tonight I was more than disappointed! To start with we were placed in the bar to eat and 4 seats short so that caused a problem! Rather than sort things out by offering a new table or even joining...

Loved this hotel! Our greeting (Audrey) was quick and cheerful. Alex (the owner) is more fun than a barrel of whisky. Our room was large, the bed was a king (super comfy), the view spectacular and the bathtub glorious. Drinks in the bar before dinner was a jovial and interactive experience. The food was a bit lacklustre (no parmesan for...
