We have just spent two nights at this motel. The staff were welcoming and pleasant. The hotel is older but it's clean, the beds are comfortable, the pool/area was clean and had an amazing view of the waterway, breakfast was adequate (fruit, bread, waffles, bagels,...More
We stayed here a couple of nights ago. It is an older hotel but the rooms are clean and very large. We had a kitchenette...stove and fridge. In room coffee and tea. Clean carpets....comfortable beds. Good WIFI....and, a decent breakfast in the morning. What more...More
When I arrived I found that the hotel did not have any record of my booking which was done through Expedia. Thanks to Mandi, who got me to use the house phone to call up Expedia's customer support, with whom I spent the next hour...More
The hotel is old but generally well maintained and clean. It is conveniently close to a walking path along the gorge and provides a continental breakfast. For an inexpensive place to stay, it fills the bill. The only problem we had was an intermittent sewer...More
We stayed here over the May long weekend. It was pretty full, but the staff kept the breakfast area stocked. We were a family of five (three young kids).

We would like to stay here for a week after a Hawaiin cruise. What is the easiest way to get from the cruise teerminal in Vancouveer to Victoria? Would we need a hire car for our stay in Victoria or is public transport good like in Vancouver.
Many thanks for your help.

I would recommend the Pacific Coach Lines or renting a vehicle in Vancouver and take the ferry over to Swartz Bay. I find most people who are visiting Victoria like the freedom of having a car to see more of the island. There is public transportation, however, this may limit you to specific place you would like to visit while you are on the Island. We hope you have a fantastic cruise! We look forward to your visit with us. Safe journeys, Econo Lodge Inn & Suites, Victoria, BC.
