We nipped up to the Inn at Strathyre for a night's bed and breakfast as there was a walk we wanted to do in the area. What a cracking wee pub!!! The fire was roaring and the pub dog was a friendly soul. (Love pubs with dogs!!!) Dogs are very welcome here and they were all friendly and well behaved.... More

We arrived later than expected after an exhausting day traveling on our bikes, we had a lovely warm welcome a clean room and lots of hot water for a bath, our dirty wet clothes were cleaned and sorted ready for the next day and we had a great meal. Couldn't have asked for any more.

We booked our stay at the Inn as it was one of the cheapest places we could find in the area. The room was pleasant enough with plenty of space and a newish bathroom. The breakfast was plentiful. We ate in the bar on the Saturday night and whilst it does feel a bit tired, it had a cozy atmosphere.... More

A friend and I dropped in here to break up the journey to the west coast. It's always been a well kept place but today I was well impressed to see such good beer on offer. Taylor's landlord was on beside "due south" from a local brewery, I think but also Bitter and Twisted and Drygate Pilsner (gluten free!) alongside... More

As we had to come in from Ben Lomond on the day of our arrival, we came in rather late in the day. We phoned ahead to ask whether we could still sit down for dinner, and that was no problem at all. Personnel was very friendly and first showed us our room. Then we sat down in the pub... More

On first impressions, the Strathyre Inn was disappointing. Our room was poor and the rest of the hotel needs a really good clean and sorting out of stuff lying around! There was no TV or hairdryer in my room, nor was there a bedside lamp which meant I had to get into bed in the dark. There was a large... More

Although there were one or two redeeming features about this Inn (the bed linen was clean, the breakfast was OK) our overall impression was of tatty décor, uncleanliness and, frankly somewhere of a standard far removed from what would be expected from the price charged. The issues are far too many to list but here are the "highlights": - kettle... More

My pal and I travelled to Strathyre as a base to explore Perthshire and the surrounding countryside and villages. Our overnight stay coincided with the Inn's Halloween Night, which filled us with trepidation as this was not something we would normally attend. How wrong could we be!! We enjoyed a fabulous evening which included singing, fancy dress, and a Halloween... More

We travelled in September. It was fine though I expected it to be better. The bathroom we had was small and needs some refurnishing.the room could have some more lights. It was clean, but since it needs some refurnishing too it seems not to be that tidy. The bed was comfortable with tea and coffee in the room. I did... More
