The rooms were absolutely amazing as well as the staff. We ate in the public pub and really enjoyed are meal. There is information at the hotel about stuff to do in the area. The rooms were clean and spacious and so were the bathrooms. The only downfall was the breakfast as the meats didn't seem to be very good...

Stayed here on our 3rd night of the NC500. Room was clean with coffee/tea facilities. The food was lovely and reasonably priced, staff were very friendly and polite. Ideal base for exploring the countryside.

We stayed here to climb Ben Loyal & Ben Hope. Perfect location for access to both mountains. Lovely setting with fabulous views from the dining room. Food was tasty & well cooked by a chef who obviously knows how to cook seafood. The breakfasts were also very enjoyable. The staff were warm & friendly. Our only disappointment was in that...

Asked about dinner or a bar supper only to find no food available as closed for winter with only the bar open. At this time of year (post New Year weekend) the nearest place to eat...

Lovely breakfast, looking out over the surrounding countryside with some gentle Scottish music playing in the background. We would have liked to have stayed here longer. We didn't use the restaurant and the bar was only average.

We had room 1 with a comfy bed and a beautiful view. The staff were welcoming and we had a lovely overnight stay here. We had a beautiful evening meal in the restaurant and would be happy to stay here again. The breakfast was first class. They had a well stocked bar.

What a good choice we made for our fourth nights stay. We chose to have a room with a view at a supplement. The food at dinner was very flavoursome and with good variety. Seafood for himself containing langoustines, salmon, clam bisque, hake, most enjoyable. I had scallops with hake, succulent and fresh. The breakfast of smoked salmon and scrambled...
