We are a family of 5 and really enjoyed our camping in Pog Lake July 17 weekend. What nice big sites. The lake and river are great to canoe and paddle in. Note rough like Lake of Two Rivers. We had great weather. The comfort stations were cleaned regularly. The campsites are nice an quiet. Had a chance to see the comet as well. The beach at campground C was not busy.

We could not have been more thrilled with this campground. It is nuzzled in among a huge beautiful lake and rivers. It’s full of lush foliage and scenery. COVID-19 has placed the campground at a disadvantage when attempting to get people to their campsites in a timely manner, but to no fault of their own. When we arrived with our 30ft trailer we discovered we could not manoeuvre the trailer on to the lot. The staff quickly found us a perfect location. We were able to carry our kayaks a half a street to the lake to kayak. The water was so warm. Kids used paddle boards. Although beach was somewhat crowded, everyone was kind and respectful. Noise levels were wonderful around us. However, being such a huge campground you are going to hear things in the dead of night. People using tents must access their things from car/trucks. Doors open and close and, as most of us have had at one point or another a car alarm goes off by mistake. Our site was well maintained, rugged and huge. It kept the feeling of being in a provincial park. Please be kind to the workers. That line up you are waiting in, is the same line up that they are facing to get through. If there was more they could do, they’d do it!!! FYI No showers are opened at this time.

Many beautiful campsites with lake views. Ours was huge with plenty of room for trailer positioning. Great canoeing and access to Two rivers lake by canoe or bike trails. Other guests commented the park has a reputation of poor management and I could see why. A 30 minute line at the main office just to buy bad wood and ice. Yes this is Pandemic but more reason to have the wood lot accept payment and minimize people in the office and line. Most annoying was an ignorant large group of 15 kids and adults causing noise and over running the campsite across from us. Algonquin Park Service took 4 hours to respond, and didn’t want to enforce the rules. I suggested they do their job and they still didn’t. Not sure we will return because of this. If we need to follow the rules they do too. A beautiful resource but poorly managed.

Don’t book site 308 if you have any length of trailer. Too many trees and roots on the site could barely fit our 28 foot trailer on it and get anything open even though it’s rated for a bigger one. The grounds and surrounding park are nice. Good bike trail for a family bike ride. Near by beaches were nice and water was warm.

We loved Pog Lake. We have been to Lake of two rivers before however preferred having the water front views in this campground. We were on site 228. Has a moderate slope but we found a level enough spot to fit our trailer on. Make sure to check campsite descriptions as some may have a steeper slope. We loved the view of the water and making it accessible to launch the canoe we rented. They rent water crafts by the day and prices are reasonable. We were in the radio free campground and an easy walk to the main Beach, less than 5 min walk. This campground is also 1km to the dump/water filling station and about 4 km to the lake of two rivers campground and store. We stayed in campground A. Beautiful scenery, relaxing atmosphere and great camping weekend. Would highly recommend trying out pog lake!
