We stayed at the Lake of 2 Rivers campground from Monday Aug 29th to Friday Sept 2nd, 2022. We reserved campsite # 58. It was very close (about 1 min walk) to the beach which was large, sandy and beside a beautiful, large lake. We were also about a 1-2 min walk from the washrooms with flush toilets, showers and laundry facilities.
This campground has the benefit of being next to the Lake of 2 Rivers store and restaurant. The store could be a saviour if you forgot any necessities, but it's not a full grocery store by any means. Of course, everything is at a bit of a premium too.
The restaurant also had a bit of a price markup, but the food was good, there was a decent selection and it meant we had nearby access to real coffee, ice cream, etc.
It was about a 10 minute walk from our campsite to the restaurant/store.
The campground was pretty quiet. Didn't get a lot of noise from other sites. However, it is very close to Highway 60 which is the main east west corridor through the park and gets a fair amount of truck traffic. Booking a site farther from the highway might be a good strategy.
The only other negative was the maintenance of the washrooms. Someone mentioned the washrooms on the other side of the campground were closed, so maybe our bathrooms were getting more traffic than normal, but they weren't very clean, sometimes had no toilet paper and were extremely busy.
Otherwise, the campground was very good. I would definitely recommend this campground. If the highway traffic would bother you, you could try Rock Lake campground which is only about 10 mins further east and is well south of the highway. The campgrounds there are quite a bit smaller though.

Stayed for 2 nights in a 25ft RV with wifey. The site is definitely a bit more rustic than others, roads around the sites are full of potholes and pretty tight to navigate for a larger vehicle.

The sites are a good size and we had an electrical output. No water or waste though. Nearest waste disposal is about 4km east down the road. Camp site our end (away from the river) was very quiet. Not much privacy between sites but depends what you like.

There's a great general shop and cafe within a few minutes walk through the site and it also has fabulous ice-cream!

Staff at site entrance were very helpful as we were having issues hooking up our electric but we're happy for us to switch sites.

The lake on site is stunning but the flies and bugs were pretty bad, we got badly bitten a lot!

Site is great but just lacking in the amenities of a more polished place - toilets and showers adequate.

We are from the US and driving across eastern Canada with our 3 dogs.

Avg rating due to roads within campgrounds, voltage at the pedestal, location of dump station, and garbage.

Campgrounds roads (not paved) are FULL of deep potholes. Very difficult to maneuver especially in a 27 foot RV pulling a vehicle.

Voltage at our campsite was under 108 and dropped to 103 when running air conditioner. Not what you expect when you pay for electricity.

One single dump station for hundreds of campsites and it is located outside the campground area. You had to go down Hwy 60 to access.

Garbage. Even despite numerous signs and reminders to not leave food out as not to attract wildlife, we were dissappointed to see garbage strewn (watermelon rinds, an actual steak bone) amongst the vegetation surrounding our campsite. And there was a bear sighting Mew campground which was right down the road. People need to be smarter.

Pluses are: large, spacious sites make up for lack of privacy. Beautiful area to explore.

Will come back to Algonquin Park but will look for another campground.

There are several campgrounds within Algonquin Park for trailer camping. This was our first visit to Algonquin Park. We had planned a 7 night stay at this campground (Lake Of Two Rivers) but left this campground after 2 nights. The traffic noise and lack of privacy between sites was very unpleasant for us and certainly not what we expected. So… we moved to another campground within Algonquin Park (Canisbay Lake) for the remainder of our trip to get the peaceful experience we wanted.

So disappointed. (This is my first review ever!) We arrived at our camp site Saturday night, water was not working Sunday morning and all showers and washrooms were closed FOR 2 DAYS! No communication from the staff and different answers when asked. We had to end our vacation early. @ontarioparks, you need to do better! Trying getting a refund, impossible.

Cons: Noisy neighbours with way more than 6 people per site, loud music, yapping dogs at all hours. You may think that your music is great and you may love your dogs and be immune to their barking, others are not. It is not how you behave as a camping community member. We put our dog in kennels for that reason and we never play music on our site because we are in nature (which is why we came). Fire wood a drive away, so was the amphitheatre. No privacy for many of the sites, showers out of order 2 of the 5 were available - line ups.
Pros (ending on a positive): The store was good. Bike trail excellent. Scenery stunning, canoe rental amazingly efficient and awesome. We tried to stay away from our campsite doing fun things so that we didn't have to listen to music, dogs and highway 60.

We spent 2 nights and our experience was terrific! Site 46 was very close to the fabulous beach. We rented a canoe for 24 hours and paddled to the island twice. Swimming from the island rocky shore was fun! We enjoyed 2 hikes as well. There are many wonderful sights and so much to do. The sites are not very private but everyone around us was respectful of personal space.

we arrived at the park and the office was closed. after driving around trying to find the place to fill our tank with water we were told there is only one sanitary station in the whole of algonguin for all the campgrounds to share which in itself is terrible but when you arrive and only one tap is working and there are 8 trailers ahead of you and each one takes 20 minutes to fill then you are in for a long wait. we waited 3 hours to fill our water tank and then only got to our site by 5 pm so wasted an entire afternoon. also this year due to covid algonguin decided to try paperless registration but they did not do a good job of telling guests prior to arriving at the park to put your license plate number onto your registration so it is recorded and that then becomes your permit. by the way when waiting in line to fill our tank people said the tap was not working last year already and another one said it was out of order a month ago so this was not a new broken tap but rather another example of government not keeping up with what would be unacceptable in the private realm.

My husband and I were very disappointed with our site #140. We were crammed in with campers. There was a 5 foot space between us. There was one picnic table, one fire pit not sure if it was ours or our neighbours in #138. Come evening with campers being so close and having fires it was one big smoke smudge among us.I ended up with a terrible migraine. There was absolutely no privacy, not relaxing or enjoyable at all. Definitely not worth the $64.67 I am left paying. Staying in a Walmart parking lot would of been better!

Stayed on site 124, fit our 16’ trailer nicely. Dried up pretty quick when it rained, so good drainage. A little noise from the road, and store, but not to bad. Conveniently close to store and some trails. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, who are always willing to help. No showers due to Covid, but comfort stations were regularly cleaned, and well looked after. Being first week of season everything was ready to go, that was available.
