My wife and I have been together for 24 years and married almost 20. We never had a honeymoon with our soul focus on raising our kids. This was our delayed/postponed honeymoon of sorts. I cannot put into words how amazing in every aspect, our trip was to the Valentin Imperial. The staff in every phase was exceptional from the check in to check out process. The whole time we were there we were planning another trip back ASAP!!! Resorts in the states don't compare to what we experienced. I have been in customer service my entire career and what they had to offer put everything I'd ever experienced to shame. Every employee created what I'd call an emotional connection with their clients. As soon as we arrived back in the states all we could do was talk about our trip and recommend it to everyone we know. If you are planning a romantic getaway and don't want to lift a finger and just relax this is definetly the place to go.

Hotel's Favourite
This resort is the absolute BEST! Their staff has a culture all of its own and treats everyone like royalty. The always over exceed expectations and we never wanted to leave. We have been to Hawaii and the Bahamas and Mexico was our favorite. There is no need to stay anywhere else. We made friends with some of the visitors and the STAFF. MARCOS was our favorite! We are now friends on Facebook. We plan to return in January! MOST AMAZING VACATION TO DATE!

This was our 2nd All-Inclusive, adult-only experience, so I do not have a whole lot to compare it to. However, I have done extensive research on a lot of the resorts in this area and talked to our travel agent about this. VIM seemed to be the best experience for the money. **Before I say anything, I want to say that Sonia is one of the best bartenders at this resort. She was at the heaven bar while we were here.** As soon as we arrived, they said to us “Welcome home!” We had an absolutely amazing experience at this resort. Checking in was simple and enjoyable. We were handed a drink upon arrival. I think it was a Mojito, but I am not 100% sure. Anyways, it was delicious. They took care of the luggage for us, so we did not have to tote it around. At check-in, they gave us our room keys and went over everything with us. They have a QR code you can scan with your phone that has ALL the information you will need about the resort. I saved this link into the notes on my phone for easy access. I would recommend saving the link for sure. It has the room service menu, activities schedule, map, a list or restaurants and when they are open as well as the dress code, and much more. They drove us to our room after the check-in process. We were told to schedule our covid test with our concierge, and this process was simple as well. They open at 9AM, so there is a line in the morning. If you will not be making dinner reservations, you can wait until later in the day to go schedule your covid test if you do not want to wait in a long line. We booked a Golden Superior Junior Suite. We had amazing views of the “quiet pool.” I was happy with the location of this room, because it is away from all the music and fun from the “party pool,” so it feels more private. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. You can call for room service anytime, and the food is really good! The bathroom isn’t 100% private, but this was no issue for us. We just closed the doors next to the tub to make it more private. The ONLY thing I would do differently next time is request building 6 or 7. We were in building 8, which is the furthest away from everything. However, we got to see the amazing landscaping of the property while we made our long walks. You can also request a ride if walking is an issue. We only did this when we went to dinner. They have an open bar at most of their bars – you can order whatever you like. They also have their own specialty drinks – ask them what the “drink of the day” is and try it! Go see Sonia at the heaven bar. She was a lot of fun and a wonderful mixologist. Ask her for a surprise drink. We ate room service until we got our negative covid test just to be on the safe side. I think we were the only ones who did this, but we didn’t want to have to quarantine for 10 days before going home. I don’t think anyone tested positive the entire time we were there. If you are ordering room service, I highly recommend the chicken fajita wraps! They are so good – also the chipotle shrimp. At the restaurants, they always asked if we had any allergies – we do not, but they take extra care if you do, so that is nice. They have a restaurant option for everyone. Our favorite was the French restaurant. The onion soup and the filet was to die for. The hibachi restaurant was a lot of fun, but you need to make a reservation for this one. We had ZERO complaints for any of the restaurants that we tried. They were all so good. Service was impeccable. My favorite thing was the “tropical” vibes you get from the entire resort. A lot of resorts in Cancun are more modern, and kind of have a USA vibe, but this one is so beautiful and tropical. You really feel like you’re in another country. The landscaping here is really something. The beach was not so good. The water was very rough, and there was a red flag the whole time. There was a hurricane a few weeks ago, so they could not have controlled that. They kept it as clean as possible. Normally I would be bothered by this, because I am an ocean person…. But the pool was so amazing, we did not care too much. The party pool had activities every single day, and it was a lot of fun. If you did not want to participate, the pool is big enough to go to a different area to relax. There is also another pool they refer to as the “quiet pool.” They are both huge. I hope to return to this resort again in the future. We had such an amazing time, and we met so many good people there too!

My husband and I just returned home from our 1st visit to The Valentin Imperial and what can I say we were blown away!!! This resort is absolutely breath taking and the staff is extremely friendly!! We stayed in a Silver Superior Junior King Suite in building 1. The room was absolutely beautiful and I loved the location as it was near the restaurants and only a 2-3 minute walk to the main pool. The staff is very friendly and they go above and beyond to make your stay amazing!! Sonia at the Earth Bar is amazing! She makes the best drinks and is always very friendly!! Paulina and Lizeth at the main pool are wonderful waitresses and kept the drinks coming all day long!! The food truck at the pool is the bomb!! Definitely give it a try!! The Go Team at the pool were exceptional!!! They always had fun activities throughout the day to keep us entertained!! Jesus, sexy Lorenzo, and Bryan were our favorites!! There is a daily journal posted daily on the TV or by the elevators in your building stating the activities for the day and what restaurant is closed that day. Very helpful for planning your day. The restaurants were also great!! The Ginger restaurant is the only one you need to make a reservation for if you want the whole hibachi experience. You need to make the reservation with your concierge by 9am the day you wish to eat there. It was really delicious!! The French restaurant atmosphere is amazing and the food is delicious also!! Highly recommend the Sea Bass, so yummy! The Taman Sari (Japanese) restaurant was surprisingly our favorite!! The Pad Thai is amazing!!! Make sure to ask for the secret desert box! The La Hacienda (Mexican) is another favorite, sit outside at night It's very beautiful!! The Mar Tierra down by the beach is amazing too. We had breakfast there one morning and ate supper there once at night. We usually ate breakfast at the Le Marche. It's a buffet with so many options you'll never walk away hungry!!! Make sure to order room service!! Chicken fajitas and the chips with guacamole are the best!!! This property is one of the most tropical feel resorts we have ever been too!! We loved walking the paths and looking at all of the tropical flowers. They work hard to keep everything looking absolutely beautiful! The resort is even more beautiful at night when the flower gardens and the pools are lit up and there is always music playing as you walk through the resort!! We loved the nightly entertainment at the Plaza every night especially the Imperial Band!! Make sure to enjoy a churro or 2 every night!! So yummy!! My only disappointment was the beach but that has nothing to do with the resort. Hurricane Grace came through just 3 weeks before we arrived and did extensive damage but the staff work very hard and at least the beach was open when we were there but there was a lot of sea weed almost everyday. We did visit the beach almost daily but didn't spend a lot of time there. One of the best parts of this vacation was meeting new people and making new friends!!! I would highly recommend visiting this resort!! We will definitely be back soon!!!

Amazing environment and very nicely and authentically arranged everywhere. Pleasant and good service on the beach. The sea is wavy and we liked it. The food is good and I especially enjoyed the freshly squeezed juice of various fruits for breakfast. I really enjoyed the other square pool with warm water too. There are few people there and there is peace for those who want to be alone and enjoy on vocations. Everyone's needs are met. I would come back here again only i would choose another room that wouldn’t be so wet and should not smell of mold. There really is a good choice and I will find out more details next time. This hotel has left a nice impression overall.
