We are so glad our first stay at B&B was at Century House! We stayed overnight in 2009 and will never forget it. We've been going back to Nova Scotia ever since. Thank you Mieke and David for a wonderful first night and we're sorry we couldn't have stayed longer! Lisa and John van Goch, Proton Station, Ontario

We stayed here with our 3 month old after three Chester B&Bs denied us because of our baby!! David saved the day. We had a big room with ensure bathroom. The room was lovely and we shared a delicious breakfast each morning with our fellow travellers at one table. It made the experience much more fun to meet others and of course everyone loved our little bean!! If I had one critique it is that the bed was too hard for my taste, but that is a subjective matter. I also didnt get to see much of Blandford but it is about 60 mins from Lunenburg and 20 from Chester. The place is lovely and has a view of the water. Food was bloody fantastic and David has a great sense of humour. All around well worth the money.

Ideally located - midway between Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg, yet an hour from Bay of Fundy. Many N.S. highlights within short drive. House is beautiful - rooms were great - sea views and lovely gardens. Pottery gallery was an added bonus. David's breakfasts and hospitality were highlights. Thanks Mieke & David for a much enjoyed stay (we'll be back).

Caution here folks. They charge for any night booked whether you show up or not DESPITE the fact that you cancel or move your bookings to another night. They nailed me for an empty room when I booked 4 nights for them for a wedding. Note that B&B's are allowed to make up their own rules in Nova Scotia. The hosts at Century House B&B will probably nail you too, so instead of booking ahead, take your chances on just showing up when you need a B&B room in Nova Scotia, especially in Blandford.

What a delightfull place to stay. Acrooss the road from the ocean, beautiful garden, charming decore. We simply loved it. The breakfast were outstanding. The real treat are David & Micke, so entertaining & David is a riot (also great chef). Micke has a pottery studio and we bought many nice Christmas gifts at a very reasonable price. Her pottery is as nice as you will find anywhere. If you stay with them have David suggest place to see in the area, he did for us and we had a very busy fun filled day.

We spent two nights at this B&B. The location is wonderful; quiet property with a nice garden, the room was clean and well kept. The breakfast was excellent and David provided a platinum level service.

Always a treat to return to this spot. Surrounded by beautiful gardens , Century House is right across from the ocean. The house is beautifully furnished, the breakfasts delicious( especially the muffins) and you always feel welcome.

It is minutes to the "Deck", a local, casual restaurant specializing in seafood chowder and lovely pies. Bayswater Beach, with its white sand, is about ten minutes away. If you wish to dine in a larger centre, Chester is about 25 km away and Hubbards slightly more.

An added bonus is the beautiful pottery made on site, some of which is for sale. Any item from there makes a wonderful souvenir.

If you are looking for a lovely tranquil spot, Century Place is a great choice.

Century House is off the beaten track but, for us, it was worth the few extra miles of travel from the larger communities. While some reviews expressed concern about the distance to travel for a restaurant, we thought is was fine.

The house has a warmth that we felt the moment we were greeted at the door by David. Our breakfasts were served with freshly baked muffins, home preserves and an egg dish. David was not only a wonderful cook but also gave us an itinerary to follow for a tour of the local area. We had a couple of very fun days there.

The view is great and the grounds are amazing. Mieke's artistry is reflected in the charming way the house is decorate.

There is no television but we with the wifi we were fully connected to the world.

If we return to Nova Scotia, we will return here.

The room was very nice. The owners and breakfasts were lovely. I was surprised after driving for 6 hours that the closest restaurant was 25 miles. I was also surprised that there was not a TV. I felt if these things were made aware it would have influenced my decision.
