Overall, a great experience. Being my first solo vacation and during COVID times, I wasn’t sure what to expect. So here was my experience: Adult only vs family: I expected the two to be more separated. I did not experience any adult only restaurant dining. Unfortunately, many meals consisted of screaming children (don’t get me wrong I have 2 teens so I understand this happens but I thought I would have some meals without it). Being COVID times the adult only swim up bars were closed but the butler service on the beach was fantastic!! Drinks & Dining: I was impressed at the mask compliance and how the buffet food was completely controlled by staff. The food and service was FANTASTIC at Verdello’s!!! They did not miss a moment making sure I was checked on and taken care of. The service and food was excellent at BRGRS.PH and Spacewalker - I highly recommend the filet at the Spacewalker and the Chorizo Bites at BRGRS.PH. Considering I do not like buffet food as a general rule but lunches at Zest and Lighthouse were good opportunities to try Dominican foods. Each morning I had breakfast at Sugarcane. I enjoyed it- some mornings the staff were attentive and others I had to wait quite awhile for my coffee. I have low vision so it was very difficult to read the signs that had the names of the food. Some staff were very patient and helpful. There was only one person that made me VERY uncomfortable and was down right rude about me not looking in his direction -(not something I can control) he made omelets on the backside of the buffet. Like I said, overall, a great dining experience. The butlers at the beach were fantastic!! Very attentive and hard working!! The staff that took care of serving in the Gourmet Village Plaza during entertainment were wonderful and funny. The Jazmin swim up bar was good as well. Vassa Spa I was able to have a few spa experiences during my stay (nails, generic massage and after sun treatment). The service here was great. I was so glad I spent the extra money for this. A big shout out to Delalise (excuse any misspellings)!! She was so kind! Everything else: Concierge was helpful, check in and out was smooth. BUT if you need to call before arriving, good luck! I could not get thru no matter how many ways I tried. Even the generic Karisma Hotels person struggled (I had fight delays so I arrived one day late). The champagne and fruit basket upon arrival, room mini bar and express personal check in did not happen as stated. I was disappointed but it didn’t ruin my stay. I absolutely LOVED the swim up premium room!! It was so nice and just walk outside my room to a patio/lounge area that stepped down into a pool. My room was close enough to sit and listen to the ocean (when there weren’t screaming kids - they arrived two days before I left). Upon check in I was given a time to get a COVID test so I could return to the U.S., this didn’t matter- it was first come first serve and it took over an hour to wait to get it! They also didn’t email the results like stated- I had to go ask someone for them when checking out. Not a big deal, just be prepared. I was well taken care of when it came to transportation to and from the resort. Because of my delayed arrival they upgraded my transport to solo which in the end expedited leaving. In the end... Would I come again? YES!!! I probably would explicit request the adult section and bring my husband. Oh, the person that helped me at the airport from check in to the gate use to work at Sensatori and Sue it was one of the best places to stay in Punta Cana.

OK, I am going to go into some detail on this resort, which is overall one of the best, for reasons outlined below. We stayed here for 8 days and loved it. COVID DISCLAIMER: Not all the restaurants are open all the time due to the low number of people in the resort. To offset this, we got a spectacular deal on a swim up honeymoon suite (recommended), which was about 200 ft to the beach. Also, there were no crowds anywhere and lots of places to hang out near the beach and pools. 6 Stars: The people. Waiters, bartenders, conceirge, lifeguards, and maids. Everyone is super friendly and just plain nice. Specifically, Luis and Stephanie at the pool bar....Marlene, our Conceirge, Edwin Balbuena and Orlando in the restaurants, and Johan the lifeguard. The bartenders made the best drinks ever. One of the things the Conceirge’s do is push their vacation program and help you out in general. We attended their presentation to get a romantic dinner, and it was a really decent, low pressure program, held to 60 minutes from when we actually started. Not for us, but another couple were members and swore by it. The waiters were super people and nice to get to know. TIP them a bit and you get service above and beyond!!!! 4 Stars: Management. There are lots of rules, and the employees are not empowered and are careful to not risk their jobs. Sooooo, if you experience a problem or want something out of the norm, go directly to a manager to overcome it. Example, we wanted a late check out, were told it was $25 an hour beyond noon check out time. Had to raise this as an issue with our Conceirge several times (who then went to a manager) but we got it done without charge. 5 Stars: The food was excellent. Except the hamburger place, which was super slow and the food not so good. They do have the biggest hamburger I have ever seen, though. Get the chocolate orb thing in the SpaceWalker restaurant - it is outstanding. 4 Stars: The beach is just OK. This area in wintertime/early spring has high waves and lots of wind. To the left of this resort (around the point) are ocean swimming areas more suitable for children. The pools are not heated anywhere and were a bit cool at first. 5-6 Stars: Family stuff. The adjoining resort is a Nickelodeon property, and they have a separate splash area for the kiddos. Lots of entertainment for the younger ones. Don’t know if the Sensatori folks can use these areas, so check first. 3-4 Stars: The AC appears to be set by the hotel currently to save money. It was regularly 21.5 degrees Celsius, not matter what setting I chose. I called the front desk and they said someone would check on it, but nothing happened. The room was never hot, but not cold either. We adjusted to it. BUT if you like your room cool to cold, this might be a problem currently. 5 Stars: The room and the beds were very good and well appointed, however. 5 Stars: The entertainment. Due to the low number of people in the hotel, the entertainment was in a “town square” and people just pulled up chairs. They were smaller acts, but were really good. In particular, there was a small “circus” with jugglers and acrobats, which was a big hit with us and the children. -1 Stars: The speakers at the bar were blown and any attempt to play music or anything was an assault to the ears. The one day they brought in a DJ with his own speaker, the music was waaaay too loud and we had to leave to get away from it. 4-5 Stars: Extra water activities/excursions. We did the Catalina Island Catamaran/SnorkelingTour for about $107/pp. It was really beautiful and I would do it again. The trip would not be good for young ones, as they picked us up at 6:40 AM and dropped us off at 7 PM. Our hotel was the last stop on the bus, and we probably added about 2 hours to the trip with the many stops. Tata (short for something) with GO Excursions was a most excellent tour guide. There was also some kinda dirty dancing after consuming a local fire water beverage (Momawhana - tasted like Robitussin). So families might want to make sure they are with a similar aged group....all I’m sayin’ Go and Enjoy!!! There is something here for everyone, and don’t let the whiner reviews deter you.

We were there From Feb 27 to Mar 6, 2021 and it was fantastic!! The resort wasn't very busy due to Covid but we had one of our best vacations ever. Our butlers Henry Matos and Izzy were awesome at making our vacation run as smooth as possible. Main bartenders Francisco and Luis were a joy as well as our beach butler Carlos. The resort is simply amazing, don;t think twice about booking your vacation here!

What a wonderful resort. I have been to all-inclusives in Mexico, Costa Rica, Jamaica and the DR. The service here is absolutely excellent with the staff pay attention to detail. The rooms are spacious and modern. The restaurants are excellent. I only give this place 4 stars out of 5 because the entertainment is lacking but I’ll give them a pass because it is Covid after all. A special thanks to Carlos and our butler, Ysmaury. Will definitely return.

We had a blast! The resort is running at a reduced capacity so dining options were limited but the outstanding service the staff provided made our trip fantastic! Special Thanks to Ezzy our butler who was on point with anything we could think of, and keeping up with a group that takes vacationing seriously! We also want to thank the bar team Francisco, Luis, Jonathan and Carlos for keeping the delicous drinks flowing whether at the bar or on the beach and big up's to Galactico, Ruben, Edwin and Enrique for keeping the service at restaurants that were open top notch!
