One of the butlers told us that it was not possible to change for about 20 minutes, I then told him I would speak directly to the manager myself, which surprisingly out the blue he had a room available for us to move to, which originally they said they had nothing...

    First couple days we had some issues with our rooms. No cool lights under the bed, tvs didn’t work, fridge broken, no drinks in our room, no running water for awhile, leaking shower onto our bedroom floor, missing chairs, missing toiletries and losing power while in the room... We switched rooms after the first day... We had issues in our second set of rooms... We talked to others that had room issues too... Resort is smaller so any of the rooms are close to restaurants, pools and beach...

If any research was done then they would realize that a Luxury Ocean View Junior suite is not an upgrade to the Luxury Diamond Presidential Suite... I just put in dates and room prices of the Luxury Ocean View Junior Suite is $540 night and the Luxury Diamond Presidential Suite is $603 night... This is unacceptable for a Marriott property and I will continue to voice my discomfort of how I’ve been treated and how my reservation miraculously disappeared from the app even though the room was paid...

    We booked to stay at The Royalton Chic Punta Cana over Xmas & new year in the Diamond Club having stayed at The Royalton St Lucia 3 yrs ago (also in the Diamond Club)... We felt the need to review this hotel & post our own personal opinions as unfortunately we were left feeling rather disappointed... Obviously we knew this but having been to the other restaurants we were surprised we had to pay for wine & the service was very slow (we also waited up to an hour for food in the Diamond Club beach bar, although the staff working there are very friendly)... We appreciate everyone has different expectations but we personally wouldn’t rate this hotel as a 5* (particularly not the food) & we will not be returning to the Royalton Chic Punta Cana...

Now I understand the seaweed situation in the DR and the water was clear for the most part I just wished the resort would have spent a bit more time cleaning up the beach...

As For The resort Our rooms were clean and turn down service was provided every day, Pools were clean, Beach had a lot of seaweed, could be maintained more frequently, pool washrooms could be checked more often, The only thing I would say we were disappointed in is that for an all adults Resort the Lobby bar is cleaned up and completely closed by 11:00, So we were forced to get up and go into the casino or disco to get a drinks , We just wanted to enjoy our cocktails on the couches in the open lobby enjoying the tropical air where we can talk and drink with our group all and all we were treated great and had an amazing time and thank you to all the hard working staff...

    ...From the moment we got to the resort we were treated amazing! Having a private check in to having a personal butler!... He set up everything up for us including dinner, excursions and transportation... He comminuted through what’s app and just told us what time to be ready, and any activities for the day... We asked for a speaker in the house to play music and they came in an installed a huge speaker... We have a private chef and Samuel had us all the drinks brought from the resort to us... My only suggestion would be a person responsible for getting drinks from resort because Samuel stayed busy with other things to help us and couldn’t be back and forth as fast as we were drinking our drinks... The staff was very friendly and helpful in any way they could!...

The Vibe Team made up of Yordy, Ruben, Luis are without doubt the friendliest, nicest set of lads I have ever met... Yordy the pool party and evening party MC was always signing, dancing and laughing, making every event thoroughly enjoyable, even taught him and Ruben how to do the silly salmon into the pool!... Ruben was the guy around that was always hi fiving everyone and say Holà to who ever he met, Ruben was always on hand to help with the sports, either the water or beach volleyball or golf or basketball by the stage, always up for a laugh with belly diving into the pool or guiding Luis on the inflatable duck around the pool party, Honestly one of best holidays me and my partner have been on and would go back in a heartbeat Thank you to all staff at the hotel and wish you all the best for the future...

    During our visit to the buffet today we had some amazing servers at the buffet... Our servers today were rosa and Angelica, winstonand Eliser... They were so very accommodating and made sure we had everything that we needed... There was also a manager on staff today Josefa and not only today but every time we visited the buffet she could be seen working throughout the restaurant with her team... She also visited tables, smiling, greeting guests and making everyone feel at home... The food was good but the service was phenomenal...

    My partner and I stayed at Chic Royalton for a week. During this week, we observed staff to continue to go above and beyond to make the resort an amazing experience... The staff had dressed up for Halloween, and also continued to engage with guests to ensure they were having the best time possible... On our last night for my birthday, a special shout-out to our server Victor Manuel served us for the romantic oceanside dining experience... This was by far the best service, and the best food that Chic Hotel had to offer...

Not until they served someone in our group with a seafood allergy shellfish did they begin to accommodate us a little better... Food at Buffet is cold most times or not hood Some of the staff is unwilling to help at all not very friendly not willing... To go the extra mile for guests ...

    ...Had a great time on this resort, the staff was very friendly, most of the food was good but the buffet could have been much better however there is a great view of the ocean and pool from there. I really enjoyed the gym and the fitness instructor J.Carlo was very nice and helpful with a lot of things also his activities are very nice and entertaining... One of my favorite places in the resort was the coffee shop and the waitress Maribi provided excellent service and always knew what I wanted to drink and had it ready for me... The various staff at the bars were also great I don’t remember everyone’s name but a few people stand out Rosa,Diana,Yerfin and Padre were all very helpful... if you ask the excursions staff they can assist you and transportation may be included...

We also requested an additional chair and a dressing gown on the first night - as everything in the room was for two guests, whereas we are are three guests... We have stayed in many 5* hotels across the world throughout the world and this hotel is definitely not a 5* hotel considering the poor quality food, drink and service... There are plenty of hotels in Punta Cana that are far cheaper and probably offer a far better service...

    We had an amazing time the crew works so hard to make our stay so enjoyable and memorable Rosa the Server waking around the pool always making sure if we need anything and making sure we had Drinks just amazing. Josefa,Cristino Angel Perez John Trovolta and the Chef were all beyond Amazing always making sure we were all ok with our food drinks tables always cleaned WOW... IT was just fantastic the way they made sure we were well taken care of during Breakfast Lunch and dinner time... Also after Dinner always asking if we needed anything and if we did they would get it for us with no problem just amazing... I want to thank them for doing that for us even though we knew they we working hard to make sure we and everyone else in the place were taken care of they gave us a few minutes just to be part of our family love them for that... It’s Amazing how hard they work so we can enjoy our time there We are planning another trip there soon can not wait to see them we miss them already Thank you So So So much for a great and AMAZING TIME...

Fermin in the buffet took good care of us along with the rest of the waiters/waitresses.. Elvira who's a wee trouper always hard working and ready with hugs... The management who made sure we never wanted for anything by fullfilling any requests we had... The gardners who kept the grounds pristeen... Cannot forget the men on the beach who worked their socks off raking up leaves, seaweed etc... The bar staff and coffee shop staff who kept us hydrated 😋...     ...It was a little crazy, understandably so, and the staff did whatever they could to serve everyone until the weather was getting worse. We unfortunately spent the first day in the room while the staff cleaned up, but the effort the staff put in was exceptional, and they worked around the clock to get the resort cleaned and the restaurants open... They did everything they could and we really appreciated the effort!... Always reachable and even during the first few days after the storm where our phone wasn’t working, he made sure to find us on the resort to let us know our dinner options and activities for the night... Definitely a 10/10 experience, and even with the adversity (Hurricane) the staff here, Enrique especially, really stepped up and made our trip great...

    ...The Vibe Team, such as Junior, made the atmosphere welcoming and exciting throughout the week. The room was clean, modern, and luxurious (Diamond club)... Upon arrival we checked into the Diamond club lounge... We were assisted and introduced to our butler, Teudi... Teudi was incredibly helpful through the week... He assisted us with anything we needed and the week would not have been the same without him... He made us feel so welcomed and at-ease from giving us a tour of the resort, to booking our reservations, to checking in daily... Teudi offered incredible service all week... His sense of professionalism, while being personable made him a great staff member... We did an excursion through the resort and were helped by Hector... Hector was knowledgeable in helping us book and we had a great experience doing so... We encountered many restaurant staff who made us feel welcomed and remembered us throughout the week... Some of the restaurant staff members we felt went especially above and beyond were Yusi, Joseph, and Christino... Having a swim out pool was a great plus, I would highly recommend booking... Throughout the week we were served by the pool staff at the ledge of our swim out pool... Arelci was our pool staff that had such a fun personality and who was so accommodating to us all week... Booking the Diamond club gave us access to the Diamond lounge as well... This was a great perk to have throughout the week... The staff in the Diamond lounge were so sweet and accommodating as well, especially Rose...

Everything from the pool fitness classes to each night being a themed party was an absolute treat... The way that the hotel is set up it’s also very easy to make friends with other guests because of the experiences that take place during the day...

    The Royalton chic was such a great experience! We stayed at the chic mansion for my bachelorette... From the moment we got to the resort we were treated amazing!... The beach area, pools and bars dotted around help you lose days just relaxing and enjoying yourself... At the bars, no cocktail is too difficult and service is always with a smile...     ...On the first night, on multiple occasions we requested to be given three bottles of water, but we received nothing. We also requested an additional chair and a dressing gown on the first night - as everything in the room was for two guests, whereas we are are three guests... We booked the hotel with a view to enjoying the sports bar but it is shut... There are plenty of hotels in Punta Cana that are far cheaper and probably offer a far better service...

    We had an amazing time the crew works so hard to make our stay so enjoyable and memorable Rosa the Server waking around the pool always making sure if we need anything and making sure we had Drinks just amazing. Josefa,Cristino Angel Perez John Trovolta and the Chef were all beyond Amazing always making sure we were all ok with our food drinks tables always cleaned WOW... IT was just fantastic the way they made sure we were well taken care of during Breakfast Lunch and dinner time... Also after Dinner always asking if we needed anything and if we did they would get it for us with no problem just amazing...

Fermin in the buffet took good care of us along with the rest of the waiters/waitresses.. Elvira who's a wee trouper always hard working and ready with hugs...     ...Being a smaller resort, there was plenty to do and plenty of food options... The Vibe Team, such as Junior, made the atmosphere welcoming and exciting throughout the week... The room was clean, modern, and luxurious (Diamond club)... Upon arrival we checked into the Diamond club lounge... We were assisted and introduced to our butler, Teudi... He made us feel so welcomed and at-ease from giving us a tour of the resort, to booking our reservations, to checking in daily... Teudi offered incredible service all week... We did an excursion through the resort and were helped by Hector... The food and restaurant options on-site were so good... We encountered many restaurant staff who made us feel welcomed and remembered us throughout the week... Having a swim out pool was a great plus, I would highly recommend booking... Throughout the week we were served by the pool staff at the ledge of our swim out pool... Booking the Diamond club gave us access to the Diamond lounge as well... This was a great perk to have throughout the week... The staff in the Diamond lounge were so sweet and accommodating as well, especially Rose...

I will only speak from the regular stay as i understand it was a different experience and better if you did diamond class. I have stayed in many resorts in the carribean...even 4 other Royalton's and this was absolutely the worse! Room - horrible! When 1st entering the room there was a "moldy" smell which can sometimes happen when air conditioning is not working well to reduce the temperature of the room. The tv was broken with a line down the middle; phone never worked; air was set to 15 and still was not cold; the faucet sprayed out toward you and not down in the sink; and lastly toilet was clogged and also flushed like you were being sucked down with it...so if you have to go during the night, be forewarned. As well, please be warned that there is NO DOOR ON THE BATHROOM...so it may be ok to travel with a significant other, but could be uncomfortable if travelling with a friend. The 1st day, our room did not even get cleaned and after asking and waiting for almost 2.5 hours, we settled for clean towels and water..which too was a painful process. After complaining to customer service and being told multiple times items were fixed, they never were! The customer service could really care less and offered mediocre options, but really they do not want to help and there was the constant visits to talk to a manager with no results. The food..well...when hungry, sometimes it was hard to find something you want to eat. The buffet breakfest was not great...even had moldy cream cheese one day. Lunch...well the best thing there was the homemade pizza and lovely fresh salad options....people also seemed to enjoy the pasta. Dinner ..there were a couple restaurants...the indian, if you know Indian...was awful...not even close to the reguar indian but always empty and easy to get food. The Steakhouse always had the longest line where the steaks were overcooked, the parmasean fries were a lump of cold fries and mozzarella cheese, but the cesar salad was lovely...and we even got red wine poured into the white wine glass after having to ask for steak knives and our appetizers plates to be taken away! Italian also had a long line up where the food was ok....same pizza and pasta you could get at the buffet, although the buffet may have been better as they prepared fresh! The room service had minimal options, but do recommend the chicken fingers and not the cheese plate which arrives as cheddar and mozzarella slices. Keep in mind it arrives with no cutlery, napkins or salt & pepper, which, when asked, is easily another 25 min. The beach was in rough shape with lots of seaweed, so we stayed by the pool. It was great the 1st couple of days but then sat and sun were just way to many people and you had to grab a spot early morning. Poolside service was wonderful, however we had some servers that would give you your drinks and stand there waiting for a tip....i was pretty sure we booked all-inclusive?!? As well, the bathrooms around the pool were constantly out if order or multiple stalls would be locked and you could not use, leaving you to go towards the front lobby to use the bathrooms - definitely inconvenient. Night time entertainment was ok...lots of partying, if you were in for that.

Dayanara is the most excellent person we have met. She is attentive, prompt, and lively. Her spirit and awareness of our needs made our guest jealous. We were glad to say, "You can't have her!" Give her a raise 🙌🏽! Our visit was made better because of her.

First time at this resort and included the Diamond Club experience. I read a lot of reviews prior to going so I had an ideal expectation. I definitely felt the good vibes and party feel. I felt mixed feelings about the entertainment. Most resorts I've been to have the shows at a separate location away from lobby. But everything happened in the lobby area. Like I said, I had mixed feelings about this, yes very convenient especially if you want to party and listen to loud music but there were evenings myself and family wanted to have a more mellow vibe and play cards etc but listen to music but maybe of lesser volume and we couldn't find a place to gather all together (8 of us) soooo we found ourselves going into casino instead. hmmmmm maybe a good plan on the resorts side (spend our money) lol. My family and I spent our days in the Diamond Club beach area. We had great service from all the team, the servers in the restaurant area but a huge shout out to German and Freily, our beachside servers. They were amazing. I would come back just because of them. Food: the food was pretty average in the buffet. Can always find something to eat! We went to the steak house, Italian, the Indian, and Ceviche/Sushi. Out of all of them we actually enjoyed the Indian the most! The Italian was good, everyone enjoyed their food, the sushi place I'd say the sushi was the best part and the other food so-so. The steak house.....very mixed reviews between all 8 of us. Everyone that had the steak....did not like! I had the salmon and it was actually my most fav of the week. The ribs and chicken got a great reaction...and all the apps were amazing.! BUT THE STEAK>>>>at the steak place....is NO GOOD! I was concerned about the seaweed from previous reviews and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised it wasn't that bad, here and there depending how the ocean was. The ocean was rough 6 out of 7 days. Most of us enjoyed the jumping and fighting of the waves but it did get tiresome having a workout every time you went in ocean. lol. The one day it was calm, it was lovely! We did have the diamond club privilege and there were definite perks to having this. **if you are one that enjoys higher end alcohol....you will appreciate this perk***. We met a couple that didn't have this and they were telling us where they would get shifted if they sat in the wrong place and how much they felt excluded. I know not every resort if getting upgrade is worth is but I'm under the impression its definitely worth it at this resort! OH also, I read previous reviews that they had a hard time finding what activities were happening at what time etc. And yes most resorts have an activity board posted BUT this resort uses the TV in your room. You click on the entertainment. Someone in our group always took a pic of it and we could reference it throughout the day on their phone. Go and enjoy! If your already booked keep reading reviews so you know what to expect and then make the best out of it! individual perception and expectation is key here. If you haven't booked, id say book it if you want a small resort vibe, that's vibrant, excellent service (diamond club) but has a few little flaws! Like my sister wouldn't go back because of the loudness of the resort but I would go back despite that!

Had a wonderful time and Dayanara was an excellent butler. She took care of everything. She is the best. I would like to say thank you to Julia and Jonathan in the spa area. Julia gave me a wonderful service. I felt relaxed and stressed free. Miguel, at the beach bar, Ramirez, and Pedro were wonderful too. And let me not forget Luis (little man)!were all great. My made my experience very enjoyable. The resort was nice and small and the food from each restaurant was terrific. Also the lady at the omelette station worked very hard and made me wonderful eggs every day. Rosa gets a shout out too. She took care of us every day at the buffet. Loved them all. Great and fun service. I will be sure to go back there again next year and this time bring my son and daughter. They would have so much fun just as I did. 5 stars to the Royalton Chic Punta Cana.

We had an amazing time! Alejandro and Winston treated us like family and gave us exceptional service. We've been to many resorts and this has been, by far, one of favorites. All restaurants were easy to make reservations and food was most enjoyable.

My husband and I went to the Royalton Chic Punta Cana to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We had the diamond service and our butler Dayanara went above and beyond. She made sure we had everything we needed and some things we didn’t know we needed. We came back from dinner Dayanara had something special waiting for us in our room…it was much appreciated. Everyday she checked on us by texting and finding us wherever we were. I highly I recommend the diamond service and especially, Dayanara. My husband and I left feeling like we were leaving a friend. The staff at this resort were amazing and super friendly, making sure our needs were met. Whenever you walked by any staff member they greeted you with a hola and a smile. The resort was clean and beautiful. I recommend spending sometime at the relaxing and beautifully decorated spa, everything about the spa was amazing!! You need a little pampering. We were entertained all day and night, from talented performances to the upbeat hype crew. The wonderful bartenders, waiters, waitresses, and host of other staff made our time here unforgettable. Thank you Royalton Chic Punta Cana Crew for an amazing vacation that I will never forget!!

Dayanara Dayanara Dayanara is all We can say about this trip. She made us feel like family. She took care of us as if she’s known us for years. She’s very attentive, understanding and giving. I am not sure how she does it, but she doesn’t break a sweat. The resort was nice, and we enjoyed ourselves to a point where we are planning our next trip there already. She is the reason we loved our stay, and will only go back if she is our Butler again.

Spent an enjoyable week together with friends at Royalton Chic . Have been to many different resorts in Dominican over the years . This resort is a bit smaller than some of the others which was nice . The staff really works hard to make it an enjoyable experience for its guests . They are all so happy to engage with the quests if given an opportunity. Greeted every day with a big smile and hello from Santos at the front concierge . Alejandro at guests services is friendly and welcoming. He quickly and professionally responded to any questions and concerns that we may have had . He seems to be genuinely concerned with ensuring we have a pleasurable, memorable stay. All the ladies at Insomnia cafe were great to interact with . All the staff work hard to please . Some fun shows in the evening . Everyday Pedro and entertainment crew bring a lot of great energy to the resort .

My wife and I just got home from an amazing trip to the Royalton Chic Punta Cana. We had upgraded to Diamond Club which I would recommend. With the Diamond Club you get a butler who takes care of your every need and an exclusive beach area with bar. Our butler was Ronald and he was great. He would check in with us every morning to see if we needed or wanted anything such as reservations at restaurants. He always had a big smile and a hardy handshake. The resort was great. It was clean, and every single staff member at the resort was kind, polite, and attentive. If you want to know what's going on around the resort, the TV has the schedule for activities, entertainment, and that’s also what you can use to order room service if you so wish. The pools were nice but we preferred the beach. The beach chairs go fast we had to reserve with towels as the sun came up. The beach was good, the waves were rough but the water was nicely warm I think it was warmer than the pools. There is seaweed but they clean it up every morning yet the waves bring more. There are parties nightly and they are what you make them. The buffet was very good. There was a good variety for us for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had absolutely no issues with the food. The Insomnia Cafe was good and Vespa, too. We had a hydo massage at the spa which we would highly recommend. Alexander took good care of us there. I would 100% return tomorrow.
