We rented 2 of the 2 bedroom cottages side by side (there's only 5 cottages in all so they're all close enough to each other). The cottages are 10 years old but still feel like new and are very clean. The lake was very nice for swimming and kayaking or canoeing. There's plenty of nature trails for hikes in the area. The spa relaxation area with sauna and yurt were very nice to use and clean. The owners have well stocked the cottages and kitchen. I would stay again for sure.

Loved the experience.
Very friendly and helpful hosts/owners.
The grounds are far from the main rouds so it is very quiet. There is the appalaches mountains where you can take a walk on trails. Lake below cottages to kayak or canoe.
The chalets are better than expected. Clean, all comforts of home in nature. Heated floors and heating and air circulation. Large windows allow you to see the view. Comfortable beds and soft cotton sheets. Peaceful decor.
Would recommend and come again.
Also family friendly activities and playground.

We rented the one-bedroom cottage (King bed), number 5. The cottage was well equipped in the kitchen with everything we needed. There were also extra blankets for cooler evenings by the fire. The floors were ceramic tile, which was great for easy cleanup, especially with our pup. We brought extra blankets to cover the furniture (like we do at home). The cottage also had a private hot tub, a nice wooden deck with bistro set to sit and enjoy an espresso and a beautiful view of the lake. There is no air conditioning but with the windows open, we had a nice breeze throughout and were very comfortable at night for sleeping. There do provide a fan if you need one.

VERY impressed for our first time renting a cottage. This place is so peaceful, there's lots of options for walking. We walked around the lake every day with our dog. They offer canoes, paddle boards and kayaks, along with safety vests. The cottage offered private access to the lake BUT beware it is VERY steep. We tried it on our first day and opted to walk around on the road to get to the lake after that. They have a BEAUTIFUL spot for swimming, WITH your dog too if you want and there's a small waterfall. It is so peaceful and relaxing.

The owner was VERY nice, onsite everyday at the welcome center if you had any questions.

If you need shade, I would recommend brining some kind of beach umbrella or pop-up awning, our site did not have any shade. That is my ONLY negative comment. We stayed for a week and LOVED it. They have a nice section of trail from their site, or you can drive for about 10-15 minutes to access different trails of the Parc des Appalaches BUT you will have to pay (you can buy your pass online).

I spent five days there with a group of people and it was honestly one of the most beautiful places! If you want a nice retreat in the forest with nature, I highly suggest their chalets! And in addition, Valerie is such an amazing person !

It was a last minute getaway during our Easter break and it was fabulous. The lake front cottages are new, very clean and very well equipped. Heated floors and a gas fireplace was a delightful bonus, and plenty of windows that provided an abundance of sun and natural heat in the mornings. There are two bedrooms upstairs and an open loft area with a sofa bed but no bathroom upstairs, a full bath is on the main floor. The beds were very comfortable for us (King) and the kids (Queen/Twin bunk)

Location is very quiet, far from any main roads, it's actually a 3km dirt road to the cottages from the main road. Great well marked hiking trails, they also provide snow shoes. There is a toboggan run, a small ice rink and play park for the kids to enjoy. A Jacuzzi and sauna for the adults as well as an amazing Yurt equipped with a fireplace.

The owners, Martin and Valerie, were very accommodating and showed such passion and care for their resort. We would love to go back, just wish it was closer so we can go every weekend!

I've had the chance to go twice, once in the 4+ people cottages and a second time in the 2 person cottage and they are both great to say the least. The cottages are very well equipped and super clean. The owners are very nice and accommodating. It's a great place to really get away from the city. Peaceful and quiet I highly recommend these cottages for some romantic time away. Will come back for sure !

We just spent 3 nights at Esker Nature and loved everything about it! Martin was very welcoming and accommodating. Our cottage was lovely, spacious and well-appointed. Everything seems to be lovingly cared for. The surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful. We have nothing negative to say. Our stay was relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. We will definitely be back.

From Montreal, my first time so far up in the north, but worth it ! The ''Chalet'' was VERY VERY clean, very well equip, well build, warm and very comfortable. The view was outstanding, pure nature. The lake was beautiful, we walk around and was a very nice walk. We did receve a very warm welcome from the front desk lady ( the Owner I think ) and she show / explain what ever we needed to know.

No hesitation, if I go again I want to go there again. The road trip it's worth it !
