We stayed here on recent trip through California. Lest someone think that the low rating is due to high expectations, I generally stay at low-budget places while traveling across country, and then stay somewhere nicer once reaching my destination. One the positive side, all of the staff that I encountered were extremely friendly and the room was actually clean (something...

We stayed here for 3 nights while going to an event at the Rabobank Arena. All the hotels close to the arena were booked, but this was only 15 minutes away and an easy drive. Although the hotel is near train tracks, it was actually pretty quiet. The room is basic, but fine. The bed was somewhere between hard &...

I usually stay at the Motel 6 chain while traveling across country for one reason: clean no frills no surprises (price or otherwise) rooms at great prices. They have what I want. A clean room with clean bed linens, clean bath linens, a clean bath tub and/or shower, basic cable, internet which works well (but which they usualyl charge an...

The staff: Very friendly and helpful. The location: On the outskirts of town right off the freeway(caters to truckers). The property: Surprisingly clean and well kept. Very shady and suspicious creatures lurking around at night. The room: Pretty clean for a motel at this price but smelled mildewy like sour milk. The beds feel like a cot. The room had...

Located off of the highway and next to a truck stop and travel center, this Motel 6 appears to predominantly cater to truckers. Our room was clean and decent, and a coffee shop/restaurant is within walking distance. We weren't disturbed by truck noise at all, but that could be impacted by the location of one's room.

It is true, You get what you pay for, but this was just disgusting! Roaches crawling up the walls, Stale smoke smell in a NON Smoking Room, and rock hard beds! We complained and got a Full Refund!

I (middle-aged woman) traveled to Bakersfield with my teenage son and had trouble finding a room due to events in town. The reviews for this motel made me wary, but the alternative was staying in Buttonwillow and driving back and forth, so I took this chance. I was relieved to pull in the parking lot and see an attractive (for...

What nobody else in the other reviews mentioned was that this motel 6 was surrounded practically on all sides by trucker stops. All night we could hear the low hum of the semi's idling as well as the noises of what was probably them doing some kind of trucker stuff to their vehicles. What else didn't get mentioned was the...

Spent one night on our way to Death Valley. It was cheap and fairly clean...what more can you ask of a Motel6? A fine place to spend a night in Bakersfield.
