Meadow Lake Fishing Camp is a top notch operation. The scenery was spectacular and the staff was amazing! Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included at a very reasonable rate. The cabins have been remodeled and amenities on site include showers flush toilets. Don't forget to bring in your limits of fresh mountain trout because the smoked trout is the best you've ever had. If your lucky enough to catch a "Wall Fish" it will be memorialized in the form of a stainless steel replica on the wall of honor forever. This adventure is a bucket list experience for every fisherman. While the fishing is awesome the site seeing and bird watching is something to behold for those not there for the fishing.

Just returned from a wonderful 4 day trip to Meadow Lake Fish Camp with a friend after waiting for over two years due to Covid restrictions. We arrived mid-afternoon on Thursday and were immediately greeted by “Willie” the Great Pyrenees (the very friendly camp dog) and Hayden the camp manager. Hayden gave us a quick tour of camp and we unloaded our gear into cabin #3 which had a great view of Meadow Lake. We then made the short hike to Flapjack Lake and were instantly surprised by two very nice Kamloops trout on our lines as we were leaving the boat launch area! We returned to the lodge where dinner was being prepared by Francesco, Hayden and Anika and we got some clues from the other guests about their experiences on some of the other local lakes. Next morning we made the hike to Lost Horse lake where we caught over 20 medium sized trout in less than 3 hours. The following morning we hiked in to Friendly where we tried quite a few different patterns, but left after getting only a few strikes. Came back to our very comfortable cabin for a break, and then we decided to give Meadow Lake a try. We each took our own boats out and that’s when the real fun began. Between the two of us, we caught over 36 trout in about 90 minutes! Never had such good luck in our 40+ years of fishing together. All together, we fished 4 of the lakes and found fish at each of them over the next 3 days. Our largest was about 2 lbs, but EVERY fish, regardless of size, put up a spectacular acrobatic fight all the way to the net. Overall, we lost count of how many fish we hooked up, but our final count was well over 70 fish in our 3-1/2 days! We released all of them, except one that bled, so they’re all still out there to get bigger for others to catch. Speaking of BIG, one of the other guests landed a GIANT Kamloops trout on Friendly that weighed in at 8 lbs 2 oz!!!! It was a beautiful “wall-fish” that set the season record (so far). Meals were all great, cabins with wood stoves kept us plenty warm, and Willie decided to keep us company every night by sitting with us on the porch of our cabin as we watched the sunsets. Can’t say enough about the hospitality that we received from Francesco, Hayden and Anika. They are all top notch folks who made us feel very welcome. I could go on and on about this special place, but in order to truly appreciate the magic of MLFC, you must go and see for yourself. My buddy and I are already thinking about making another reservation for next season. Special thanks go out to our hosts at this remote little piece of heaven. We will definitely be back!…

Meadow Lake Fishing Camp was every bit as amazing as the reviews said. 3 of us went up for the "minibreak" (2.5 days, 3 nights) from Vancouver and it was absolutely perfect, and very reasonably priced for what you're getting. The food was super tasty and hosts Francesco and Hayden we're very accommodating, friendly and generally awesome. It felt like you were right at home with them, and they went out of their way to ensure your experience was memorable. Waking up to fresh coffee each morning, followed by a gourmet breakfast, packed lunch/coffee and then hit up one of the many lakes nearby (a few within a few minutes walk). Each lake had row boats ready to go, and some have a trolling motor as well. The fishing was really good, followed by a hot shower and fresh dinner back at camp. What more could you ask for? Will be returning again.…

Congratulations to you if you are able to visit Meadow Lake Fishing Camp. We just returned from five days and had a fantastic time. The location is beautiful -- British Columbia boreal forest at its best. Situated on a private lake and surrounded by several other lakes, many within easy walking distance. Each lake has a boat, some with electric motors. All of the lakes have excellent fishing, particularly if you pay attention to the old timers who come back year after year. Francesco and Hayden are perfect hosts. The food and hospitality are top notch. The gathering around the fire pit each night was a special treat after so many year of fire bans. Be sure to ask Francesco to recount his movie and tv acting career experiences! Thanks again to Francesco and Hayden for a wonderful time.…

This was a great trip. You cant beat the value. I would highly recommend Meadow lake lodge. Even though we did not catch the monster, we caught a fair amount of fish and even the little guys put up a fight. Great selection of lakes. My adult daughter and I went mid-week and had the place to ourselves for a few days. Francesco has done a great job of combining remote and quiet with comfort.

I first went to Meadow Lake in 1978. It was a great experience and I returned many years. Around 2004, Francesco Pahlevan and Uli took over the camp and the improvements have been non-stop. They have rebuilt the main lodge, all the cabins (see photos on the website) and serve very good food. The fishing is still very good and great fun. Francesco knows how to run a business and he is a great host. We look forward to returning.

I recently spent five nights at Meadow Lake Fishing Camp with my siblings and their spouses. It was one of the most relaxing vacations I’ve ever taken. I haven’t done much fishing, so that wasn’t really the focus (although the fishing was incredible and so fun). It was more about relaxing and spending time with family. Francesco is an incredible host and runs such an organized and efficient operation. He will make you feel right at home, like you are part of the family. The food is amazing and the location is a pristine wilderness. You will sleep like a rock at night in your cozy, woodstove heated cabin after a day of fresh air, incredible scenery, great food and fantastic company. If you need to unplug from the daily grind, replenish your soul and recharge your battery there could be no better place. I can’t say enough about MLFC. Even if you don’t fish, do not hesitate to try this place out for a magical getaway.…

My two companions and I spent 4 wonderful days at Meadow Lake for some of the best Lake trout fly fishing I have ever experienced. The property sits astride two medium size lakes that provide great sport with an abundance of fish. There are also a number of other lakes including trophy lakes either in hiking distance or wihin a short drive that have produced and continue to produce trout in excess of 10 lbs. The accommodations are simple and well appointed with a very comfortable lodge. The owner Francesco, is not only an excellent host, he is aiso an outstanding chef as the meals were all excellent. My total fish count was 36 trout ranging from a few 10 inchers to the majority in the 12 - 14 inch range. We plan to return to explore the trophy lakes. Highly recommended. Colin…
