Lovely shady and green campsite! Having no cellphone signal is the first thing on my priority list when planning for a weekend away! No need to bring purified water - the berg water is fine and refreshing! The ablution facilities were clean and serviced regularly. Big ups for using solar power geysers! Too bad the holiday resort does not allow... More

Rustic chalet on the river bank. Basic but fully equipped with everything you need for a self catering stay. Inside fireplace to keep warm, outside sheltered braai. Wood/charcoal/firelighters available from reception. Perfect base for hiking the Maltese cross and Wolfberg cracks & arches. Permits available from reception. Excellent value for money, we will definitely be back.

Nice setting. Beautiful scenery. Close to wine tasting of Cederberg wines. Close to scenic routes and places. Busy over weekends. Camping site ablutions require beter maintenance and measures to reduce the muddy feet pollution.

I could not do the main walks as I am not fit enough but it is wonderful scenery and even short walks are rewarding. The geology is amazing and vast vistas and changing landscapes make it a wonderful experience. Stayed one night in the chalet [each one set up for 4 people] and found all the necessary facilities - but... More

We camped here on our trip. Lovely spot by the river with beautiful surrounding mountains. The campsites and bathrooms were clean and we'll kept. Really enjoyed our outing to the observatory up the road as well.

Wolfberg Arch, Maltese Cross, Stadsaal and Truitjieskraal on the doorstep. Amazing location, comfortable accommodation apart from the smoking fireplace, plus the benefit of the Cederberg Cellar for those social moments at the end of an active day. We stayed in Dollie se Huis which advertises under-floor heating, unfortunately without any instruction on settings etc. Well equipped kitchen, full size oven... More

Perfect location very far from civilization with dirt roads to get there. The accommodation is adequate with very nice kitchen and undercover braai. It was very cold at night so we really appreciated the heater but the fire place was not working properly as most smoke just stayed in the room. The bathroom needs an extractor fan as the ceiling... We particularly wanted to go to the Observatory so we moved here from the other accommodation we were staying at as Sanddrift is a lot nearer to the Observatory (which unfortunately was closed since there was a bit of cloud). There is very little "civilization" in the Cederberg but Sanddrift has the convenience of being near to the start of... More

Pleasant self contained cottages set among green lawns, big trees and a delightful stream. All situated at the foot of the majestic Wolfberg which is part of the Cedarberg range. There are several hikes in the area but two are not to be missed. On the first day, be sure to do the Wolfberg Cracks and Arch - go up... More
