Found La Lanterne by chance on the internet, they have a good website www.lalanterne-rancon.com and what a gem. Only stayed one night on our way home but made to feel like very important guests with such attention from Mel and Stephen. We booked both the garden room and the beamed room which were both very spacious with a very comfortable...

Our hosts in Brittany recommended staying in Limoges at a Hotel they had been to earlier in the year, unfortunately they had no vacancies. That was very fortunate...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at La Lanterne with my daughter back in April. I would highly recommend this establishment. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, which is a rare find in B&B's these days! The room we booked had not just 2 beds but 2 Kingsize beds, stunning fireplace, coffee table & easy chairs to...

We booked with La Lanterne quite last minute, due to unexpected travel plans. We initially chose La Lanterne because of the cheap rates, but it turned out to be an amazing choice! The room was spotless; clean and fresh. Ste and Mel were so attentive, without being obtrusive. They couldn't have done enough for us! They booked us into the...

What a find La Lanterne is. Located in the centre of the charming, quiet village, it is owned by two of the most obliging, helpful people I have come across in the hospitality industry. Mel and Stephen went out of their way for us before we even arrived by suggesting that they book a table for us at the restaurant...

“My favourite is the Garden room - it is so relaxing and lying in bed in the morning listening to the families of birds, and sounds of village life, just adds to the enjoyment of the stay.”

“There are only 3 rooms and you'd book according to needing a double or a family room. Garden room overlooks the little back garden which might be quieter than the beamed room overlooking the square. Family room overlooks the square too.”
