Reason being the buffet can get quite loud and busy and with booking a private dinner it would be a more intimate setting for your guests and give you the opportunity to properly entertain them.
The beer is red stripe, I believe it's local whisky but having by not drunk it I couldn't tell you.
We bought a special bottle of spirits on duty free and they had no problem us drinking it in the bar.
