I couldn't have asked for a better stay. It was a perfect ending for a perfect vacation. The room was great and beds were really comfortable. Close to the graduaution I was attending. Will definitely stay there again if I am in the area.

You may be enticed by the offerings: a brand new TV, a foam bed, newly remodeled bathrooms. You have an alternative in nearby hotels, at cheaper price, eg. Berkeley City Club with even breakfast offered is a much better alternative. When we got there, we had to ring a bell to get customer service, a practice that is normal for...

I read the reviews and they sounded great. The capets are stained and gross. I woke up freezing in the middle of the night as the heater was broken, and had to wake the night attendent (while standing on the sidewalk, ringing a bell) to change rooms. If they put new carpet in and new bed spreads it would be...

This was my second stay at the Downtown Berkeley Inn. I stayed for eight nights and everything was absolutely perfect. The owners were so welcoming and so accomodating. My room was always immaculate when I returned at the end of the day-- no matter what time I left. The television service was excellent and the bed was so comfortable---much better...

My husband & I both felt that after staying with Sudha & her staff, our lives have been truly enriched! Not only were our basic needs for a safe, exceptionally clean and truly comfortable bed met, but both she and her staff went out of their way each day to make us feel so very special and taken care of....

Quite basic, but large enough room. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was really comfortable. The location was great - close to transport, close to UC Berkeley and other sights in Berkeley. The parking was a great bonus. Overall, if you want to be pampered or stay in comfort, this is not the hotel for you. However, if...

After reading mostly positive reviews on this website,I thought this place was a good choice, I was very wrong. When we got to our room, it was hot & steamy (90 degrees in Berkeley) We called the front desk, telling her our air conditioning is not working, she came up & reset it but it still didnt work so they called...

We were moving our son to Berkeley for grad school so booked rooms for 3 nights. The outside doesn't look like much, but inside the rooms are very nice. The beds are very comfortable and the big screen TVs are a pleasant surprise. There is some street noise (its downtown) so higher floors are best. There is no restaurant on site...

I booked a three night stay through Hotels.com -- no muss no fuss. The hotel is a three story strip in what used to be a sketchy part of town, apparently. It's literally a five minute walk from the hotel to the local BART station and was a twenty minute walk to the part of the UC Berkeley campus I...
