My wife and I booked a room in this hotel blindly via Hotel.com, only to discover after the fact that they charge $32 a night for parking. The room itself was cramped, the furnishings antiquated and the halls smelled of disinfectant. The kicker on our stay occurred after we got home when we were stunned to discover that we'd been...

The location is very good and close enough to restaurants that you can walk. The rooms are very small and the bathrooms are even smaller. If you are a larger person at all you should look elsewhere. The wall air conditioner unit ran 24/7 and was very noisy.

Wherever I go, whatever I'm doing (ie. plunking down my hard earned cash) I feel like I should be made to feel welcome when I walk in. As soon as I'm not feeling that - I'm done with a place, and probably won't ever return. But the Maison 140 is one of those places that has consistently made us feel...

As others have noted, the location is ideal and very safe. They are close to coffee shops, restaurants, and hair salons. The parking lot is adjacent to the building, which makes it very easy to come and go quickly. (I found it much faster than using a valet.) The building was once owned by Lillian Gish and, from that standpoint,...

I visited this hotel for just one evening while on a business trip. The hotel is a quant boutique hotel in Beverly Hills but located very close to the financial district of Century City. The staff was pleasant and the room rate was reasonable. The rooms are small but that is to be expected in an older hotel. The hotel...

If location is your primary concern, this boutique hotel is in the heart of Beverly Hills with great shopping and fabulous restaurants. My main objection is a heavy perfume deodorizer that is used throughout the entire hotel. I sneezed from the moment I crossed the threshold of the foyer until we checked out two days later. The rooms are tiny,...

We stayed at Maison 140 in early Dec. I would not stay there again. It may be the least expensive hotel on the west side of Beverly Hills, but to be polite, it is very tired, and desperately needs to be updated. Unfortunately there aren’t many moderately expensive, good hotels in Beverly Hills or West LA. We would have been...

This is a pleasant place to stay with a nice lobby area and decent, comfortable rooms even though the colours can be a little bright. It is small hotel, however, quite nice. The majority of the staff were helpful and nice.

I booked this hotel for a recent one night business trip to Los Angeles because I wanted to be in Beverly Hills and I'm painfully bored of traditional hotels. This hotel was everything I wanted it to be - historical and distinct with an AMAZING location, and easy parking. The property is cool and different and well-updated. I especially liked...

I loved it. Small, good location, good service, silent. A good option for LA. The building seems renovated , has nice decoration and parking. The street has mostly residential units but there are shops close by.

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighbourhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
