Firstly, this hotel deos not tell you about the incidentals charge when you call, book and pay in advance. You are hit with the $100 a day charge at last minute at check in. It is a charge because you will not get that incidentals money again. They held almost £1000 of my money and did not give me back...

Fun, upbeat boutique hotel right in Beverly Hills. Great location, professional staff, upgraded us even though we made the reservations at a major discounted rate. Close to the thick of shopping and dining or if you want to buy a Ferrari or Lamboughini, it could be possible.

Great location, about a 10min walk to Rodeo Drive. Very modern hotel with nicely decorated rooms. If u like the look of the W, u will like this. But this hotel lacks warmth. Front desk isnt friendly although the bellboy who served us, Nate, was a dear.

Dear littlemissT13, Thank you for staying with us for your recent trip. Although we are a style driven hotel, we make up for the modern feel with our warm and helpful staff, such as Nate who you kindly acknowledged. I am glad that our location was convenient for you as we are walking distance to all attractions in Beverly Hills....

My wife and I arrived at about 3pm and were greeted with very friendly and Edgar to please valet staff who were just amazing. Upon checking in the front desk staff were once again very courteous. We had a standard deluxe king room ($250ish) booked how ever when we were talking to the front desk staff we told them we...

Evan (or Ethan?) greeted us at the front desk. We interacted with him several times, and asked special favors of him (like getting a microwave in our room to accomodate my infant son's special food preparations). He was always a delight, personable, always acted like our requests were important, and that he would do everything he could to accomodate us....

My friend and I had to spend some time in LA and felt like Beverly Hills would be a good location and stumbled upon the Thompson Hotel. The hotel was great: located right off Wilshire, walking distance to Rodeo drive, there are plenty of great restaurants nearby. The concierge was very helpful and got us everything we needed and so...

I put a lot of faith in Mr and Mrs Smith website when sourcing luxury boutique hotels. On this occasion i have to say, they got it wrong. The entrance to the hotel gives you the impression you've arrived at a hip and trendy hotel however the rooms themselves are very average and seem more like any stock standard chain...

Hotel = Hospitality, but you won't find that here. From the moment I checked in until the moment I checked out, which wasnt long after. I was treated rudely and given nothing but attitude. I waited and waited and after nearly 2hrs of waiting for my room, excited to finally be checking in! I open the door only to find...

The Thompson has both positives and negatives.. Positives- The location is great. Everything is accessible and in easy walking distance from restaurants, transpiration, shopping. The hotel itself has a trendy design and the roof top pool adds that extra element of style..HOWEVER- the negatives outweigh the positives by far for this hotel. Negatives- At the end of the day, any...

Staying in Beverly Hills

Neighbourhood Profile
Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills began as a modest village years ago and today you can still feel its small town origins, even though it has become a major tourist attraction and business center for the entertainment industry. This town lives up to its reputation as an area full of designer retail stores and residential streets lined with mansions and palm trees. Inside the commercial center of Beverly Hills, along Rodeo Drive, droves of tourists peak into ultra-luxurious boutiques hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous. Off of Rodeo Drive however is where some of the most affluent Angelenos occupying the streets of Beverly Hills come for leisurely meals, power lunches and beauty treatments.
