We were told check in time is 4pm. My understanding of that is I can check in any time after 4pm. At 5.15pm I was half way down a hiking trail and I got a call asking where were we and when can we get here to check in. As it turned out, we were close and got to the...

I cannot believe this place got an overall 4 in tripadvisor reviews. This place is disgusting. Unfortunately I am unable to download my pictures to show how filthy it is. First off, the staff is very lazy. I asked numerous times for towels (only had two in the bathroom) and was told 3 times they would bring them, they did...

Stayed here with my parents and family in cabin 8. This is a set of 17 cabins (most paired I think, so a shared wall and some with an option to double up with a lockable door between the cabins) nearly all with basic cooking facilities, fridge/freezer, TV, beds and sofabeds, towels, some toiletries like soap, BBQ, etc. Their website...

Staff are flat out lazy and not accommodating to help.I've asked a night staff in help in installing tire chain for an incoming icy weather since i'ved told them that I don't have experience in installing-he said I don't know and don't have anyone to call to help and I've asked him also to write a note to the Manager...

We stayed in #7, it was chosen for its location. We didn't want to share walls with anyone because of past experiences. When you check in, you are given a 2 page information sheet about the place and it's "rules".To start, parking is not right in front but off to the side, it's still close but it won't accommodate a...

Our early August stay at Timberline Lodge in Big Bear was perfect! Lovely, cozy cabins...very rustic and comfortable. Each room has a fireplace, microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator. Many of the cabins have full size refrigerators, kitchens, and perhaps larger sitting areas. Timberline Lodge has new owners as of, I think, January 2015. They are on-site, very friendly and professional,...

My husband and I have birthdays one day apart and we usually go away to celebrate. We decided to go to Big Bear and check on a cabin we had sold in 2010. We stayed at the Timberline Lodge for two nights in a small cabin perfect for two people. When we arrived I noticed that the bathtub had not...

I've stayed in the cabins and in the "Castlewood Cottages" and they are both great for the $. I stay there at least once a year on snowboarding trips to Snow Summit / Bear Mtn. The rooms have tables, silverware, refrigerators, coffee makers, and VCRs. Grab a couple of free VHS tapes when you check in. The cottages cost a...

This was the perfect place to stay with my family of 5, to include 3 children. They have a great playground, pool, and billiards for the kids, and we were able to BBQ right on sight while watching the kids have the time of their lives on the playground. Being able to cook and play where we stayed made our...
