These campsites are fist come first served, and vary significantly in quality. I advise getting there early (particularly for a weekend camping trip) in order to secure a decent spot that's neither next to the busy road or immediately adjacent the bathrooms. Even the best sites are not a particularly scenic, but the surrounding area is of course beautiful. It's...

Windy as all get out, but I guess that's expected. The site are close together, but mostly private with the trees and bushes. We didn't use any facilities so can't comment on that. It was nice to be so close to the city, but far enough away to get away from it all

We didn't actually camp here but we did drive around the camp and got out to look at the dunes and the ocean. Talk about crashing waves!! Beautiful. The dunes are really spread out and there are lots of place to walk around. The main driveway s well paved and taken care of. Would try it next time. Very rustic

My husband and our two dogs spent a holiday weekend camping at the Bodega Dunes Campground in our 14' Toy Hauler. The spaces do not have hookups, but include a fire ring, cupboard, and picnic table. The spaces were fairly level with bathrooms evenly spaced throughout the campground. Since it was winter, only a portion of the park was open....

Last time I was here was after graduation 1963, life was good & living was easy..... NO rules, NO toilets, NO people, NO fees, NADA,! Along came progress, BUT, STILL A VERY NICE PLACE TO VISIT! Lady at entrance was helpful & friendly, crowd was pleasant & beach was nice... Looks like a wonderful place to camp after all these...

Took 4 famlies camping here. Nice camp sites. Reasonable facilities. It's a bit of a walk to the beach but even our young kids were able to make it. The beach is nice and clean. Close to town so if you forgot anything its a quick trip to rum in to Bodega.

This campground had all the amenities we were looking for! We were a group of 8 people (4 adults, 4 children) who were sleeping in a tent and in a small trailer. As novice campers, we were very nervous about the fact that you can’t reserve your exact spot in advance. It worked out well for us. At check in,...

This is a very beautiful state park regardless if one is camping or just using the day use area at the beach. There is a nice parking lot there. There is a boardwalk that goes to the ocean which is nice to get over the dunes area (note - there is one short stretch where there is not a boardwalk)....

This is a lovely campground with decent, private sites. The facilities are very good. Hot powerful showers included in the price, clean toilets and very helpful and friendly campground hosts. The location is also very beautiful. What more could you ask for?

In general, we were disappointed by this campground. The sites tend to be very close together and very small. The southern end of the campground is bordered by a chain link fence; on the other side is a street with a decent amount of traffic. Other campsites backed up to family homes on the other side of the fence. Campsite...
