Location was perfect for seeing the spring flowers. The facility is lovely—good lobby, restaurant (good burgers), bar—and the pool is fantastic. We took a relaxing and cooling late afternoon swim in 90 degree heat. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. The rooms themselves are a little dated and not fancy, but the bed was good and it was all fine...

I can not think of one surface inside or out of this hotel that was in good condition. Cinder blocks were provided to keep the casita doors open to the pool area, our's whole our neighbors broken in half. This place is barely hanging on. For some reason we were sad about this and hope someone will rescue it from...

A lovely pool (needs to be cleaned more regularly), but I stayed in the supposedly special casita next to the pool, and although it was nicely appointed and comfortable, there were a few broken things. Overwhelmed (but extremely nice) staff. Location was ideal! Don't be a vegetarian at their restaurant.

We love staying at this place, but not as much since they moved the breakfast into town. Not even coffee in the lobby. A small coffee maker in the room, and a fridge, so you might want to bring your own milk. The lunch/dinner restaurant is probably the best in town and the giant pool is spectacular.

We stay here to see the flowers in bloom. My friend likes to camp at the state campground. We have a California state park pass. It was very easy to drive 1.5 miles to see them. A great breakfast was included at the Red Ocotillo. I had Bacon benedict food hot and bacon crunchy. Our queen bed was extremely comfortable....

I found this place is very nice. The restaurant was nice, but bread was not served as expected. The staff was nice and polite. The chairs in the dining area has wobbly arm rests and I fell out of his chair due to this. Now I find out they will not serve him breakfast. What is this all about? I...

While the spectacular view and the spaciousness of the room were a real plus, the room itself left a lot to be desired. The carpeting was dated and unraveling in room number 2 as well as being dirty. The doors in the bathroom vanity had been removed to leave an ugly shell of a cabinet. It appears that some attempts...

Small hotel in a retro style. Rooms have a great view with big glass windows overlooking the valley and mountains. Rooms were comfortable as was the bed. My wife told me it was very romantic. What else could you ask for! I'd go back again.

From many hikes at the state park you can spot this hotel because of the towering palms that mark the spot! Memorable sunrises and sunsets, coyotes in the distance yipping at the moon, doves cooing in the morning, the most welcoming staff and delicious restaurant, comfy beds and a fireplace in our Casita! There is firewood on your stoop and...

Older property with vintage mid-century charm. Interesting to see the Hollywood Stars pictures from the 1950's that stayed at the hotel. Rooms were clean and well appointed. 2nd floor rooms over looking the pool area share a common "patio" which happens to be the roof of the 1st floor dining/lobby areas. However the views of the valley are spectacular. The...
