The hosts were so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They made sure that we had everything we needed for our stay and plenty of advise on what to see. Later in our trip we came to appreciate nice touches like real glassware and a good sized refrigerator in the rooms. The beds have memory foam mattresses, something we had never tried....

We loved staying here. Quiet: no tv, no internet, no outside lights after 9pm because of the dark sky agreement in the community. That means good quality star gazing! The room was immaculate and well supplied with everything from extra blankets to coffee making and microwave etc. A little table and chairs outside the door was appreciated. The owners were...

We stopped to hear during a cross-country bicycle ride. The owners are very courteous and friendly. The room is extremely clean and well kept. Don't expect wifi or a television but that was not an issue for us. Good value in Borrego Springs and close to the circle.

This is a cute little solar-powered hotel near Christmas circle in Borrego Springs with frig and microwave. The owners were very responsive to my email requests and very helpful at check in. Room is basic but clean; bed comfortable. There’s a beautiful view of the mountains from the pool. We only had one day/night to enjoy Anza Borrego and this...

I don't understand the glowing reviews of this property. True, the owner is very nice, and the room is spotlessly clean which is hard to do in the desert. The lack of frills is not an issue with us at all. The shower is great, but the bathroom is tiny with a small shelf to put all your toiletries, toothbrushes,...

you will love this Niue and super clean motel. It exceeded our expectations and previous reviews hit the nail on the head. We did not miss wifi, phone or TV. Nothing spectacular on the outside but don't let that scare you off. The beds are comfy, rooms are spotless and the host is so friendly and welcoming. Kenny will tell...

Oh my gosh, this is a super clean, little no-frills motel, owned and managed by a wonderful hard-working couple. Clean modern foam style mattresses, slept great. Windows that you can open for fresh air. No TV, no phone, no hair-dryer, no frills. This is eco-wise lodging, totally 'off-the-grid' said proudly per Kenny (owner). Check out the solar panels on the...

There are not sufficient superlatives to describe the experience at Borrego Springs Motel. Your hosts, Bonni and Kenny, could not be more friendly, accommodating or helpful. This is an 8-unit 1950's cinderblock motel that has been completely remodeled with eco-friendly in mind (solar panels; limited changing of bed linens; shampoo, conditioner and shower gel dispensers in the shower - first...

Dave it was a pleasure having you stay with us! You may not have been aware of it, but we have 2 other queen bed rooms that are next door to our storage room, so they too only have one room they share a wall with. We also use these rooms for those that travel with their pets. Just let...

We ventured on our Harley's to Borrego Springs, CA and stayed the night at this motel. While there are only 8 rooms all were filled the night we stayed. Rooms were clean, baths were clean. Owner was great offering lessons on the area, places to visit, firewood for the fire rings. Owner came back the next morning with fresh fruit...

If you are on a budget, this is a great find. Very short walk to town. An old fashion motel, nothing fancy but very clean and the owners are lovely and helpful and live there. The setting is beautiful. We went for night walks and enjoyed sitting outside having our breakfast.

“#1 is the only unit with two beds (twins) and is closest to the owners' unit and the road. #8 is at the other end and is closest to the pool, so both of these only have one common wall. While all the rooms have two chairs and a table outside them, there is a larger outdoor patio at the end next to #8 that would be a good space if a group of you wanted a gathering place.”
