The rooms were simple but elegant; upscale Southwestern decor. Breakfast was much more than a normal continental; innovative and well-make. Kay, who was at the desk, was helpful in recommending hikes, restaurants, etc. Borrego Springs is a beautiful little town that's perfect for hikers and...More

We're glad to know you received your charger O.K. We always imagine that items left behind by our guests reflect an unconscious desire not to leave, so we take it as a compliment. But we know you'll want them back! Thanks for reporting that you...More

Our only regret was that we'd booked only one night at the Borrego Valley Inn. We'd visited Borrego Springs some years ago and loved the landscape. Staying at the Borrego Valley Inn only confirmed the memory of the area and has now given us a...More

Yes, one night is good -- two is much better. And three nights allows guests to really "sink in" to the unique experience of being in Borrego Springs, with two, whole days to get out and explore. Try our Come On Back 3-night stay when...More

We have been going to The Borrego Valley Inn for the past 7 years -- every chance we can get a weekend away to relax and unwind. Within minutes of our arrival, our pace slows down. The atmosphere is so peaceful and quiet, not to...More

The Borrego Valley Inn offers wonderful rooms (we stay in #5), a wonderful courtyard (an aviary for finches and soothing water fountain), a wonderful pool (two, actually, but we used the 'no clothing' one), a wonderful breakfast (fruit, scones, yogurt, fresh-squeezed juice, egg dish), a...More

Yes, most guests want "their" room when they come back to stay with us -- we're glad you like #5, in the Mesquite room class. Gwenn and I always stayed in #7 when we were guests (a while ago!). And we're glad you were able...More

We look forward to seeing you again! Over 60% of our stays come from repeat guests, and it's always nice to see old friends. And you're right that staying longer is better, which is why we offer our Come On Back for repeat guests, to...More

There was not a telescope when we stayed here, but I did bring my own binoculars. Star-gazing is a must here!

Pets are not allowed. A while back there was another owner who DID allow dogs, but not the current owner. We switched from staying at BVI to staying at La Casa del Zorro, which does allow dogs.
