The good thing about this hotel is that it is in bridgeport, but that is about it. It is overpriced for what it is. Nothing really bad about it, but nothing nice either. I had to stop, so I am glad it was there, but I would never plan on going there.

If you are looking for something fun to do then spend a couple of days at the Walker River Lodge in Bridgeport. This iconic lodge has been a staple in Bridgeport for several decades. Fisherman, Campers and travelers have used this location as central hub for sierra vacations for gernations. Swimming pool to cool off in during the summer and...

This is a very tired motel in a very tired town. Our room had a funny odor, but we persevered thinking it was just an old smoking room, but discovered the problem the next morning when the toilet wouldn't flush through. It's just a guess, but I think the odor was a backed up sewer line. It's interesting as well...

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. We do upgrades every year, last year was the new roof, painting and asphalt work. This year we are updating all of our bathrooms. In regard to our town, we have quite a few new businesses opened up this year- some cute shops, a candy shop and a brewery will be opened soon.

Great little Motel off of 395 this is God's fishing country stayed here one night going to Yosemite, I was able to swim in the pool in the day and fish out back during the evening what a bonus.. ( excellent place to stay at if you're going to Bodie ghost town ) very well maintained for older place. The...

We stopped in here on the way back from Mexico. It was a really cold night out so camping wasn't exactly a good option. The room, though on the small side, was uber comfy and super warm. Great water pressure and loads of hot water. Nice big flat screen with loads of channels. Everything about this little motel was very...

Thank you for the great review! We know our rooms are a tad on the small size compared to what size the chain hotels are doing, but at least we can make them as comfortable as possible. Please come for a visit again, when it isn't so chilly!

I stayed at Walker River Lodge one night when lodging at Mammoth Lakes was unavailable and determined it is a reasonable alternative for budget lodging if playing in Mammoth. It is only a one hour drive away and $50 cheaper than the lowest rates in Mammoth (when available!) I found the WRL to be quite pleasant and very comfortable but...

We were planning on going to Bodie today, so we stayed here. This is an older motel, but well cared for. Our room was fair sized and well appointed. It was very clean. If we ever come back this way we will certainly consider staying here again.

We stayed at the Walker River Lodge on route from Las Vegas to Yosemite. I choose the lodge because of its location and was in easy reach of the 120 or 108 depending on weather conditions for crossing the sierra nevada. We arrived early evening in the dark after a long drive and were pleased to get checked in. Check...

Thank you for the nice review. We are updating all the bathrooms this winter! And you definitely don't need the AC - it was 6 degrees this morning! We hope you come and visit us again sometime.

Easy to find right off the I5. Quirky front desk staff but nice enough. Old motel with dated basics and musty smelling (especially with a/c on). Despite a pool being advertised online and right on their sign out front it was NOT available for use being fully tarped and bricked so I call false advertising on that front. We chose...

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay. We are not off the I-5, we are on highway 395. I believe the pool not being open was your biggest complaint. We state everywhere on our site and in the AAA books that our pool in seasonal. With temperatures down into the 20's at night in October, it is extremely...
