We stopped in for a night here because camping at Burney Falls required cash only. We got a good price and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was small and water ran out all onto the bathroom floor. Still, it was a good stay and reasonably priced. We are traveling with a lot of stuff in our car and we were able to back in right in front of our door. I felt that our car was safe there. And it was. Very nice, helpful girl at the front desk.
The place was pretty full for a Sunday night. The room was decent-sized, extra alcove for bags and stuff. Fridge, micro, little pod coffeemaker, little desk and chair and a small extra table. There are breakfast burritos and coffee in the office. The heater is a bit fussy to get to operate. The wifi last night was terrible. BF got his working, mine worked briefly, then got 'Limited' connection over and over and gave up. Much better in the morning, suspect it was over capacity last night.
I have stayed at this cute motel four times and have never had a bad visit. Upon checking in by the very personable employee/owner to check out, the stays have been very comfortable, clean and quiet. Each room has a new big screen tv with Dishtv, free wifi, mini refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. All bedding are new with pillow top mattress. There is plenty of parking, picnic tables and a restaurant right in front that serves delicious food. I will be staying here whenever I'm visiting my family in Burney.
Stayed here for 1 night after visiting Lassen Volcanic Park. Only booked the day before when we knew where we were heading. On arrival, the manager asked if we would be visiting Burney Falls - had never heard of it, and only picked the motel from looking at a map! Decided to see what Burney Falls was like the next day - and what a hidden gem. Spent the full day there before having to move on to our next stop. So glad we stayed at Shasta Pines Motel or we would have missed this wonderful park, Falls and lake.
The Motel was spacious, quiet and comfortable with the largest bathroom ever. Would happily stay here again and would have no problem recommending it to others. A few restaurants nearby, McDonalds and Safeway, so everything you might need.
Thank you for suggesting Burney Falls - loved it there.
Great place to stay along the river when visiting Burney Falls. We rented a hotel room and it was large quiet and comfortable. There's a couple good restaurants nearby also so food is no problem.JJ's Cafe is great. You can even drop your hook in the river and catch a fish. Oh almost forgot there's a nice little store on grounds to pick up essentials.
