We recently had a long week-end at The Ugadale Hotel at Machrihanish, and must say that the experience was just great. The reception, service and general atmosphere of the Hotel and surroundings were first class. The food at the Restaurant and the adjoining Pub were excellent and good value. The Hotel in general was clean and tidy. Well worth another...

My wife and I stayed here for a golf (me)/walking break (her). Our room (No.6) was amazing, we booked a standard classic room, but it may have been an upgrade to a suite (?) as it was really big, had armchairs, a flat screen digital TV and a well equipped bathroom. The hotel offered a free shuttle bus service to/from...

We stayed late July/early August. The reception and dining room staff could not be more helpful, or welcoming. We loved that there was a lift to take us, and our heavy bags up to the first floor. Our 'ocean view' room 4, was HUGE. The bed was Emperor-size; the bed linens were the finest quality. The abundant range of pillows...

My husband and I recently stayed in one of the Ugadale Cottages with some friends! We were nearing the end of our trip and I must say the wonderful accommodations were greatly appreciated. The bed was one of the best during out stay and I can't say enough about the nice large shower. All of the staff was very accommodating...

Our all male group of friends recently stayed in the Ugadale Cottages as part of a golfing trip to Machrihanish. Although Machrihanish is a little out of the way to get to we arrived to find the accomodation was first class and staff super friendly and helpful. Cottages were immaculate inside and perfectly set up for our golfing group. Top...

WE arrived at this beautiful part of Scotland on the ferry from Ardrossan. Even before we had arrived we had the pleasure of soaking up some pretty fabulous views towards Arran with the sun starting to set behind this and the islands beyond. Arriving at the hotel was particularly pleasing as the last time we had seen the hotel it...

With family at a recent wedding and was very impressed with luxurious accommodation and the helpful and cheerful staff. They made a wonderful wedding absolutely perfect, and the sun shone the whole weekend! Would return for a short break and golfers would love this place, challenging course I have been told!

When you think of Scotland, Kintyre, Campbelltown, and your family clan’s home, Glenbarr Abbey- your research does not include Travel and Leisure or Town and Country. In fact, it is difficult to find listings of any sort on Orbitz, Travelocity, or TripAdvisor. And that, is probably a good thing, for it allows those few of us who have found the...

The Ugadale Hotel played host to my brother's wedding at the weekend and it's hard to imagine a more perfect choice. We loved our room the minute we opened the door - spacious and luxurious, it had the most incredibly comfortable bed and an ensuite bathroom with both bath *and* shower, so we could choose between convenience and indulgence (we...

A wonderfully luxurious golf destination in the middle of nowhere. If you do not play golf, it is not for you. The Hotel is filled with young, enthusiastic and friendly Staff, who could not be more helpful. The food matched the standard of the accommodation, 10 star! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend same to serious golfers.
