Detailed Reviews
We stayed in Rm. 114, Deluxe Queen Patio, which is close to the office, but still very quiet. There was no guest room above us. The weather was too cold to use the patio, but it looked very nice and private. The room was absolutely immaculate, with beautiful antique pieces of furniture. The 4-post bed was comfortable, but it seemed more like a double bed than a queen. It was very convenient to have a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. We really enjoyed the luxury of having our breakfast delivered to our room in a basket each morning. That was a very nice touch. The electric fireplace added to the ambiance, but guests should be aware that it is strictly for looks and doesn't put out any heat. For ladies who will be putting on make-up, I highly recommend bringing your own make-up mirror (and extension cord) and use the sofa table as your make-up table. The bathroom counter is limited on space, and the single, somewhat dim downlight over the sink is not conducive to applying make-up. A minor detail, but it's good to know about in advance. Due to the wall layout, there is no room for a standard bathroom door, so a saloon door and curtain are in its place. There is a bit less privacy for bathroom sounds/odors. The staff was very helpful and friendly! We thoroughly enjoyed the close proximity to town and rarely used our car. There are lots of shops and restaurants to visit. I really liked that several shopkeepers had water bowls for dogs outside their entries. We would definitely return!

We stayed in the superior queen with a patio and our stay was amazing. The bed is extremely comfortable, the bathroom was a dream, and the hotel even has a filtered water station with ice machine close by. Parking was very convenient as well. Overall, the property was beautiful and very well-maintained. We expected it to be cute and pleasant but it was all even better! Plus we had the surprise of heated bathroom floors! Cannot recommend enough.

We had a pretty nice stay at the Bergson. The room we stayed in, the signature king suite on the second floor, was charming and romantic. It had a massive jacuzzi tub big enough for 2 and you could hear the relaxing sounds of the fountain on the balcony. My only complaint was that there were ants in our room. When we came back late from our anniversary dinner they were in our bags and had to spend 30mins clearing them out and putting any food away before we felt comfortable going to sleep. I mentioned it to the front clerk at check out and she didn’t apologize or seem to care which left a bad taste in my mouth.

We called the front desk at 1:30 to ask whether we could check in early as we were arriving for an event that started at 4 pm. The desk advised they would see what they could do. We actually arrive at the hotel at 2:30 and had the same conversation. We absolutely understand check-in is at 4:00, so we were not demanding an early check-in, just seeing if it was possible. We advised that even 3:45 would be very helpful so could drop off our bags before the event. The desk promised he would have housekeeping do our room asap, and that we should be able to check in around 3:15 or 3:30. We left and came back to the hotel at 3:40, and were told that housekeeping refused to change their schedule, and that our room was the last on the list, and would not be ready until 4:30. If we were told at 2:30 that we could not check in until 4:00 we would have understood. To find out that late that we wouldn't even receive the promised 4:00 check-in time is unacceptable.

We needed a place to put up eight Families attending our daughter's wedding in Calistoga. The Bergson, although on a busy road, provided a tranquil setting for us to gather every morning for breakfast, a central location to head out for various events, and very comfortable rooms, all air-conditioned. Even though it is on a busy road, the rooms were very quiet. It is only four blocks from the Main Street of Calistoga (very easy short walk). The hotel is not super elegant, but very charming, and most of the rooms have a generous seating area that is comfortable to hang out and have a glass of wine. Great staff at the front desk, that keeps the varied breakfast offerings well stocked, and was very eager to help in any way they could. The Bergson was the perfect place for our party. That the hotel had a destination charger was an extra benefit.

This was a very pleasant place and very convenineet to Calistoga in particular and the Napa Valley and points north in general. The inn is on a main road but set back so road noise in my room was not a problem. The self-service breakfast was perfectly adequate. I liked the granola and coffee; but I think for the price more options would be good, like warmed rolls, cooked items such as eggs, bacon/sausage/ham or at least some cold meats such as smoked salmon. I realize this is Napa Valley in the summer so not expecting bargains, but …The staff was very friendly and helpful in providing advice about restaurants and making reservations for me before I actually checked in. Also the charging station for a Tesla was very welcome.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Bergson hotel. It is a really cute boutique hotel that offers comfortable beds, continental breakfast, friendly staff, convenient location. It is within walking distance to local restaurants and tasting rooms. Housekeeping is only available if you stay 3 days or longer and you have to request it. The rooms were clean but had a little musty smell. Located close to St Helena and Napa. They served a nice continental breakfast. and you could sit on the patio and enjoy the water fall feature. The only negative is that the breakfast/coffee bar doesn't open until 8am for those early risers. Overall we love the Bergson and would come back.

Room 109 was the loveliest hotel room! Unique, spacious, comfy bed with soft sheets. Shower built for 2 and the little private patio was enjoyed daily with a glass of wine. The daily handmade delivered continental breakfasts were a lovely addition. Well done Bergson! The town of Calistoga was a perfect small community to stay in, they had everything there you needed, wineries close by, Old Faithfull and the Petrified Forest are a must to see!

This was my favorite place to stay in of all time. It is so beautiful. It would have been best suited for a couple, as there is no visual block from the glass shower doors to the rest of the room, yet the room was so large, my mom just went and sat in the living room while I showered. The hotel has a shuttle service that will take you to a winery and pick you up, it's free, and they showed up within a minute or two each time we called for the pick up! The people at the front desk are friendly. And y'all. The rooms. Ooh! So wonderful. I think each room is a bit different. I have a video walkthrough of our room but the site is not letting me attach videos or photos - boo.

Hi .. sorry its taken so long to answer .. i didnt realize i was being asked a question through this site. I dont think the hotel offers anyrhing but I'm sure maybe other companies do. Its not real close to SF... defiantly something you could do for a day trip but it would be a long one. When we went we flew into SF landing early then spent the day then drive to Calistoga but you might want to stay in SF the night after a long day then the next morning leave and go up to Napa. Have fun!!
The door to the patio is secured with a dead bolt style lock, operable from the inside only. The patio is open-air, but fully enclosed with 7-8ft walls. The windows are secured with latch style locks, very similar to those in residential homes. We look forward to your visit! Please let us know if we can do anything to make your stay more comfortable.
Hi Patty,
We do have discounts for Sterling Vineyards. Currently, we also have discounts for Romeo, V. Sattui, Rutherford Ranch, and Markham. Thank you !
